My name is Song Chemi and yeap, that’s about it. I live with my younger sister, Song Eun Gi, in a small apartment I rented myself. Where are my parents, you ask? You have to read my story to find out. I never had any dreams, like big dreams for myself. I just want to be there for my family and support my sister’s schooling until she graduates. Hopefully, someone high up there would hear my prayers.

                Being only in my 20s, you can’t imagine how hard it is to find a decent job that would not take my time away from my precious sister who I have to guard at least half a day. And that’s how this came to be. With my sole camera that I received from my father back in my teen years, I found a way to be always around superstars, members of the hallyu of the Republic of Korea, the emerging and ever growing trend in the entertainment industry.

                Am I famous?

                The answer is no. I am around them not because they want to have me around, but because I follow them everywhere like my life depended on it…and maybe that’s really the case.

                My sister knows of my job, of course. How could I keep it from her when our apartment is full of pictures? At first she seemed to mind how troublesome and dangerous it is. After all, I could always be put into jail because of stalking and taking pictures. But then she soon realized how this is to gain easy money. Just by taking pictures, I could sell them to those crazy fans, and even to some companies who want to market these beautiful idols. I could pay for her tuition and buy us enough food to get through each day. Personally, I find my subjects attractive but that’s about it. All they mean to me is the money I make. I couldn’t care less if they hate me. I just need their faces on my pictures.

                Further, my sister stopped bugging me with what I’m doing after this group of 12 boys debuted. They were hot on spotlight the moment they entered the industry, and that meant, having pictures of them would even yield me more money. So, I started following them, these boys who call themselves EXO. For starters, they are amazingly good-looking. To say that I wasn’t awestruck is an absolute lie. I got interested in them and their fame just like anybody else, so I started to focus only on them.

                Surprisingly, my sister was happy about it.

                She got herself lots of free pictures of her bias.
