Caramel Coffee/Let's go Party

Chapter Three

"Yoong-ah~"

Taeyeon swung her arms around the surprised girl's shoulder.

"Me and the girls are going out to eat, wanna come?"

Yoona smiled at her older friend and shook her head.

"I'd like to unni, but I have to meet up with Taecyeon oppa. He said he wanted to talk to me about something."

Tae Yeon pouted and nudged her.

"Yah, ditching us for him?! You're a terrible dongseng. Are you sure you two aren't going out?" she teased.

Yoona scowled, but her cheeks turned pink from embarrasment.

"I told you, it's nothing like that."

"You sure?" Tae Yeon pressed on, enjoying the flustered reaction was she getting.

"I'm sure." she huffed.

Tae Yeon laughed.

"Alright, alright. well when you're done with your little date. Call me, okay?"

She let go of Yoona and skipped away, waving her hand.

"Have fun, Yoona~"

Yoona pouted and retorted back loudly.

"It's not a date!"

Even though she's explained to many others that they weren't together, she couldn't help but get this giddy feeling whenever she was with Taecyeon. He was a good friend and she cherished her close relationship with him. She secretly held feelings for him.

As she left her dorm and went outside, she began to walk to the destination where they planned on meeting.

'Yoona, meet me at our usual place. I'll see you there.

-- Taec Yeon.'

Yoona smiled at the text message on her cell phone.

The Star Cafe was where the two usually meet up and hang out. They would always order delicious coffee and bubble tea there and the atomosphere was calm.

While she strided to meet up with Taec Yeon, just when she was about to cross the street, little did she was aware of her surroundings, the street light was blinking and about to turn red.

As she was walking and halfway finished in crossing, a black motorcycle zoomed by and grazed past her.

Yoona jumped slightly and let out a small cry.

She snapped her attention towards the passing motorcycle and it's driver.

"Why is he driving so fast?" she gasped.

She frowned and stared as the figure drove away.   

"BEEP!!! BEEP!!"

She jumped again and turned her attention back on the road.

A man in a black expensive car rolled down his window and stuck his head out.

"Miss! You're in the middle of the road while the green light is on!"

Yoona widened her eyes and bowed lowly and apologized quickly.

"I'm sorry!" and with that she quickly ran towards the other end of the sidewalk.

Just as she finished crossing the street, she turned her head around and watched as the black car by.

"Whew." She placed her hand on her chest and let out deep, calm breaths.

"Now, to meet up with Taec Yeon oppa." she whispered to herself.

 

She walked into the cafe and looked around trying to spot Taecyeon.

"Yoona, over here!"

She turned her head towards the husky voice that called her and smiled as she spotted the older man who was already sitting down, waving his hand and smiling at her.

She walked towards the table and sat down in front him.

"Hi, oppa." she greeted warmly.

Taecyeon smiled, showing his large, straight teeth.

"Hey," he greeted back casually.

Yoona tucked her long hair behind her right ear.

Taecyeon leaned back in his seat.

"I ordered you a caramel coffee, is that alright?"

Yoona blinked.

"Oh, but that's what I usually get."

Taecyeon grinned.

"I know, that's why I ordered it for you."

'He knows my coffee order..' she thought to herself.

"Thank you, oppa." she said, quickly bowing her head.

Taecyeon chuckled.

"C'mon, you should know by now that I know what drink you like when you order from here."

Yoona let out a small laugh as she felt a ripple of happiness touch her chest.

She looked up at his handsome face and gave him a genuine smile.

"So, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" she asked.

Taecyeon straighted up in his seat and cleared his throat.

Before he could start his sentence, their ordered drinks came just in time.

The male employee settled the two warm beverages down on the table carefully.

"Here, you go. One caramel coffee and one original."

"Enjoy." the cafe employee said and left with a polite smile.

"Thank you." Yoona smiled at the man in return.

She took her caramel coffee off the table and took a small sip from it, savoring the sweet taste.

Taecyeon cleared his throat once more, leaving aside his coffee and stared at Yoona as he tried to figure out the words he wanted to say.

Yoona blinked and placed her coffee down at the table.

"So, what were you going to tell me?" she asked again, wanting him to continue.

"Right,"

The older male gave her a boyish grin.

"Yoona... I-"

A pretty, slim woman with wavy, long blonde hair rushed into the apartment, flinging her jacket and shoes off.

She was panting loudly from running as soon after she got a call from Taeyeon about Yoona.

"Where is she?" she demanded.

Taeyeon turned around and frowned, with her arms crossed.

"She's in her room, she locked herself inside. I tried persuading her to come out, but she isn't listening."

Jessica's eyebrows furrowed.

"What? It's not like her to get upset and do this all of a sudden.."

Yuri, who was also with Taeyeon came out from their storage closet, held a screwdriver.

"Yeah, right?  When she came home, we saw her with her head down and she immediately ran to her room without even saying hi. So something bad must have happened."

Taeyeon, bit her lip as she thought.

"Well, she was fine the last time I saw her. She was going to eat out for lunch with Taec--"

The older female's eyes widened before she finished her sentence and a realization came to her.

Jessica raised an eyebrow.

"To meet who?"

She then turned to Yuri for more answers.

"Who was she going to meet? And what are you doing with that?" she eyed the screwdriver.

"Beats me," Yuri shrugged and waved the metal tool around.

"I was going to use this as a last resort if she didn't open the door."

Before Jessica could reply, Taeyeon turned back towards the locked door and pounded her fists.

"Yoona! Open the door. Did something bad happen? What happened between you and Taecyeon?"

Jessica and Yuri blinked in surprise.

"What? Taecyeon? You mean Ok Taecyeon?" The blonde exclaimed.

Suddenly, the door slowly opened and the three girls stepped back.

As the door opened wider, the three girls got a better look at their young friend.

Yuri gasped, then quickly covered her mouth, Jessica frowned while Taeyeon let out a small cry.

"Oh, Yoona!"

The distressed girl in front of them looked like a mess.

Her long black hair tangled, face wet from tears and her eyes and nose were pink.

Jessica hurried and embraced the girl in her arms.

"Ohhh, our little Yoong. What happened?"

Taeyeon went forward and patted her head lovingly.

"What happened after the date with Taecyeon?"

After hearing the man's name, Yoona bursted into tears once more, backed away from the three older girls and ran back to her room.

Yuri frowned and went inside. Jessica and Taeyeon followed in pursuit.

"Yoona!"

Opening the door wider, they went inside to see Yoona lying facedown, with her face buried in her pillow.

The triplets sat down on her bed, each taking a side trying to comfort the girl as best as they can and talk in low voices.

"Yoona, talk to us."

"Yeah, what happened?"

"Please, Yoona.."

Finally, Yoona slowly raised her head and faced the girls and stopped her crying.

"I..I'm sorry.." she whispered.

Taeyeon looked at her with a motherly expression and began to rub her back.

"Tell us everything."

Yoona sniffled, then taking a deep, shaky breath she told them what happened.

"Yoona... I'm going to do it."

Yoona tilted her head in confusion.

"Do what, oppa?" she asked.

Taecyeon tried to supress a wide smile.

"I..I love this girl, Yoona. I'm going to tell her I love her and ask her out."

Yoona froze, the coffee in her hand raised halfway to her lips.

Taecyeon, didn't notice and continued on.

"I had feelings for her for a long time. I just wanted to tell you. You're a friend I care about and I need you're opinion. So what do you think?"

He then raised his eyes and looked at her with a pleading look.

She swallowed, her eyes downcast. His words still taking time to register into her brain.

"Yoona...?"

Yoona blinked a couple times, lowering her cup on the table gently, she quietly inhaled and looked up with a forced smile.

"That's great, oppa! I'm so happy for you. I think you should tell her. I'm sure she feels the same."

Taecyeon smiled with his straight teeth showing.

"Really? Thanks Yoona, it means a lot to me to hear your words."

Then finally, he took his cup of regular coffee and took a sip from it.

"Ahhhh, I feel great. Like, there's this burst of energy inside my chest!"

He smiled at her and placed his large hand over hers and squeezed it gently.

"Thanks again Yoona, really. You're the best."

Meanwhile, as for the girl sitting in front of him, was trying her best to conceal her crushed heart, forcing all her strength to look happy, while he felt great, she felt like her heart was breaking into pieces.

Even though she felt like this right now, she looked up at his face.

She sees how happy he looks, how he's smiling so brightly, showing those large white teeth of his she likes so much, his eye smile that stretches at the corner and the faint dimple on the side of his jaw she finds cute.

And somehow she couldn't help but smile back, she couldn't help but squeeze his hand in return and she couldn't help but still have that feeling inside her chest when he compliments her or the way her stomach jumped when he touches her.

"You're welcome, oppa." she replied back softly.

Taecyeon checked the time on his watch and took a quick gulp of his coffee.

"Oh, I gotta go."

He rose from his seat and laid a ten dollar bill on the table.

He gave Yoona a wink and grinned.

"My treat. I had a good time. Thanks Yoona, I'll see you around."

Yoona smiled without showing her teeth.

"Anytime, oppa. See you."

He nodded, walking towards the exit, he looked back, gave her a wave and left.

She was now sitting down by herself, her caramel coffee still in hand, his money on the table.

She slowly raised the cup to her lips and finished her beverage.

The employee from before came to her table, taking the bill laying on the table, he came back with spare change and gave her a sweet smile.

"Here's your change. Did you enjoy your drink?" he asked kindly.

Yoona gulped, she stood up from her seat.

"Thank you." she said as she took the money from his hand.

"The drink was delicious...but..."

The male employee tilted his head and furrowed his brow.

"But..?"

He craned his neck to get a better look at his customer's expression, but when he did, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Somehow.. I didn't enjoy it today than I usually do..."

Yoona was crying. Her tears poured down from her cheeks as she bit her bottom lip.

But none the less, she bowed her head in thanks and left the cafe, quietly crying to herself.

As she walked away, the employee watched her leave, his gaze never leaving her as he looked at her with a worried expression.

'Because the guy I have a huge crush on is in love with someone else.'

As she finished her story, Taeyeon looked down at the girl who resumed to covering her face and sobbed into the pillow.

Yuri sat on the bed silently, with a solemn expression on her face after hearing what happened.

Jessica's eyes narrowed.

"That jerk!"

Taeyeon sighed.

"Yoona... I know it's hard and it happened all so suddenly, but cheer up."

The distressed girl shook her head, her answer muffled by the pillow.

"What?"

That's when she raised her head up and repeated what she said.

"I know, but I'm just so stupid! Why? Why did I have to like him? It would be less hard for me if he wasn't in love with someone, if this wasn't one-sided and if I didn't like him this much!"

Feeling her friend's pain, Yuri threw the screwdriver down on the floor and huggged the heartbrokened girl tightly.

"Don't worry, Yoona! You don't need him. We're here. You deserve better."

On the other hand, Jessica was still seething.

"I'm going to give that macho man a piece of my mind and fist." she said aloud, then she raised her fist to prove it.

Yoona wiped her tears and frowned.

"No, Sica unni. It's okay. You don't need to do that. He doesn't even know my feelings for him. It's not his fault. It's best if I just move on..."

The blonde scowled and crossed her arms.

"Yeah, but still..."

Yoona stood up and put on a firm expression on her face.

"It's best to just move on from situation's like this. You cry about it at first, but if you don't move on, it'll be a sickness. I have to carry on from this situation and eventually, later on I'll get over about it and start liking someone else."

Taeyeon smiled and patted her head, in a motherly way.

"Good for you,"

Jessica, who was furious before was now even putting up a small grin, hearing the girl's words and moved by her determined spirit.

"Alright, I won't beat him up for you."

Yoona nodded. "Thank you, unnie."

That's when Yuri jumped off the bed and clapped her hands.

"I know! This calls for a girl's night out!!"

The rest of the girl gave her a confused look.

"Huh?"

Yuri smiled widely.

"C'mon! This is the best time to go out tonight and go clubbing! Yoona is trying to get over her heart being broken and move on, right?"

Taeyeon and Yoona nodded slowly.

"Yeah....?"

"Well, what better way then dancing and having fun tonight in a club! Meet some hot guys, lose all the tension~"

Jessica moved her mouth to the side, in a pondering manner.

"Hmmm,  Isn't this being rushed just a bit..?"

Yuri placed her hands on her hips.

"It's best to move on quickly as possible. Well, what do you think Yoona? Wanna forget all your troubles and have fun with us girls for tonight?"

Yoona thought about it at first, but then wandering her eyes at the excited older girl, she let out a giggled and nodded.

"Sure."

Yuri clapped her hands.

"Yay~" she cheered animatedly.

Taeyeon smiled.

"Well girls, Let's get ready for tonight then."

Yuri took out her cellphone and began to text a message.

"I'll text the others to hang out with us as well."

Taeyeon and Jessica got Yoona to get up from her bed and dragged her out of the room.

"You'll need to wash up." Taeyeon commented.

"Yeah, and we'll also need to get you dressed for the ocassion too."

While heading towards the bathroom to freshen up, she turned around at her and gave the triplets a grateful smile.

"Thanks, you guys.. I don't know what I would do without you."
 

"Wow, you look great."

Yuri commented as she gazed up and down at the girl in front of her.

Yoona looked at her reflection in the full body mirror and bit her bottom lip nervously.

"You think so?"

Jessica slapped her lightly on the shoulder.

"Yah, don't do that. You'll ruin the lipgloss."

Taeyeon nodded.

"Yuri's right. You look very pretty Yoona."

The girl looked at her reflection and twisted her fingers in a nervous habit.

She was wearing a black dress that showed her long legs, sheer black stockings with matching heeled black boots. She wore her long hair down which curled at the ends, and had on a little bit of makeup on that highlighted her face, black/shimmery eyeliner, mascara  that gave her eyes a smokey illusion to it and lipgloss.

They were right, she did look pretty.

But now that they were getting ready to head out, she was starting to have second thoughts about it.

"Um.. I don't know.." she answered, unassuringly.

Jessica scowled and crossed her arms.

"I spent almost an hour on your make-up and outfit, you are going to that club with us young lady and you are going to have fun whether you like it or not."

Yuri laughed and wrapped an arm around the timid girl's shoulders.

"C'mon Yoona. Let's have some fun. Don't worry, okay?"

'Well, I'm dressed up already for the occassion, so why not?' she inwardly thought.

"Okay." she replied back with a smile.

Taeyeon began to do a little dance, swaying her hips and cheered.

"Alright, girls, let's head out!"

The quartet started to laugh, all dressed up and ready to go, as they headed out to hit the club for tonight.
