background story: Minah's mother died giving birth to her and grew up with her father. He mistreated her by constantly abusing her whenever he got back from work. He hated her because he blamed Minah as the cause of her mother's death. She was abused so much that the scars and bruises showed, and so she was teased at school for all her injuries. Minah was innocent and vulnerable, easily scared. Her only comfort was he older brother, who comforted her when she was teased or abused. He would always buy treats for her and take her everywhere.
One day she found her brother dead in their house, horrendously murdered. Soon after Minah fell into depression of losing her only hope. She continued with life and treated the abuse and teasing as an everyday activity. When she was 14 she was taken away from her father to a institution for the mistreated, but Minah felt like the way they made her express her feelings were not enough. When she turned 16 she ran away from the institution and ended up living on the streets for 2 weeks begging for food and shelter. Soon the Geumcheon gang found her and initially thought of buying her off as a e. They put her onto the market where Minah was sold to the Gwangjin gang, which at 16 and a half she lost her ity. The Gwangjin gang did not find her amusing enough to be a so they made her into a dancer and waitress. There she stayed as part of the gang who made use of her and trained her to fight and defend herself so that they would need to worry about her too much when she was alone. They found that Minah was strong as she had a lot of feelings welled up inside her, so they put her as part of the gang when she turned 18.

background story: He isn't really sure how he fell into the "gang" life. Maybe it was after his parents' divorce. Or maybe it was after he was dragged into a back alley and beaten half to death, not after getting brutally , of course. Because it was probably set in stone somewhere in the heavens (if that kind of thing did exist), that Do Kyungsoo was destined to have the most awful life imaginable. More or less, considering your idea of a "bad" life. But besides all that, Kyungsoo managed to find.. A second family. The Yongsan gang members took him in as well, their own. He didn't need his ty alcoholic mom, or his demented abusive father. Who, may I mention, beat him all his life. So badly, in fact, he has a large scar across his otherwise smooth cheek. Anyway, after experiencing the joy a few lines could bring.. He didn't want to give it up. And thus, after weeks of initiation and countless swears, he was accepted into the gang of Yongsan. Where he knew he was safe. Well, more or less.
