Description

Tao has a nasty habit of taking things that don't belong to him and Luhan catches him in the act.

Foreword

I just enjoy writing weird stuff, okay? I had a basic idea for this fic a SUPER long time ago, but I never got around to writing it because I didn't think it would turn out very good. But this really was so much fun to write and now I'm stupidly excited for it.

Chapter 1: This was a really fun little read and far more nuanced with the subtleties of emotions and relationships than I would have guessed at first glance, given the comedic nature of it. I really enjoyed how you managed to keep their characters true to themselves throughout and Luhan's indignation the majority of the time was just hilarious.

I also enjoyed how you made Tao's habit mostly unconscious. That was a nice little twist with a rather heartbreaking background story to boot. Well played there, and rather logical all things considered. lol Tao himself was ridiculously cute being all shy and... well, him.

Personally, I found Luhan's cursing amusing and there were definitely several points I laughed and/or chuckled out loud. ^_^ So very good job there. You've a deft hand with comedy and I applaud you for that. I also cracked up that they were both pretty much stalking each other. heh Silly boys. The gentleman/prince charming sort of lens for Tao was almost too cheesy until you hear the rest of his story and it makes a bit more sense. I think it also becomes more acceptable with how he accepted growing up and trying to be more helpful to his family.

You had me too at Lay's prank, though I appreciated Jongdae's response when he found out Luhan's nature. Not that I didn't want to smack Lay (who's kind of an here too haha). The rags to riches tale isn't anything new per se but it was definitely handled neatly here. I'll give you credit for that. ^_^ Plus, the ending appeals to the sappy romantic in me and that was just beautiful. <3

So overall, a very enjoyable read. I'm glad I stopped by to check it out. I'm also in the 5 Senses contest so I figured I'd see what else people were working on. Good job though and good luck in the competition!
