In the world where one goes to when their time in this life is completed, the little boy named Kwon Jaejoong watched curiously as a little girl arranged flowers on his grave.

“Aish, what is she doing?” he wondered. After a while, and feeling a little mischievous, he leaned in and blew a puff of air, causing the flowers the girl had put in a container to fall to one side.

“Oh?” the girl frowned cutely and reached over to rearrange the flowers once more.

On his side the little boy giggled. A woman appeared beside him. She had a kindly smile and twinkling eyes.

“I see you’ve met my granddaughter, Dara,” the woman said.

“She’s funny,” Jaejoong said.

The two watched as Dara sang a song to Jaejoong that she had learned in school complete with actions.

“She’s not afraid to be here,” Jaejoong said, and the woman shook her head.

“My Dara’s always been very brave.”

Jaejoong turned and smiled up at Dara’s grandmother. “She brings me flowers. I like that.”

“I think she likes you too. Dara always wanted a brother or sister but she’s the only child in her family.”

He thought about that a little while before asking, “Can I be her brother?”

“Would you like to be?”

He nodded enthusiastically and Dara’s grandmother laughed, a quiet whispering wind that carressed her granddaughter's wavy brown hair.

“I think my Dara would love that.”

“I can watch over her like a brother!” he stated proudly. “Like how I watch over my hyung!”

“You have a hyung?” she asked him. She noticed how Jaejoong’s eyes turned sad as he nodded.

“His name is Jiyong. We always played together and he was the best hyung. But now he’s always sad when he comes to see me and that makes me sad.”

“I’m sure he must miss you very much,” the kind woman said. “It’s hard for those of our families and friends when we leave that world that they’re still in.”

“I feel bad when I see him crying,” Jaejoong confessed. “I want to tell him not to be sad and that I’m okay and I want him to be okay too.”

The older woman put a comforting arm around him and squeezed his shoulder. “In time your hyung will learn to be happy again. It will just take him some time.”

The little boy sighed as he turned back to watch Dara as she ran around his grave flapping her hands like a bird and singing her song. It brought a smile back to his face and after a little while he along with Dara’s grandmother were giggling at her antics.

“I want hyung to be happy like Dara,” he said. “I wish she would meet my hyung and help him so he won’t be so sad anymore.”

The older woman smiled gently at his words. “Maybe in time, if it’s meant to be, those two will meet,” she said.

After a few minutes she took him by the hand, letting him know it was time to return back to the light leading to their world.
