Genre: Flu-angst. I don't write sad endings, so let's call it romance.

Summary: Baekhyun takes an internship in Paris for six months, Chanyeol stays in Korea.

Foreword

With a mix of anticipation and dread, the couple had been planning for this day for several months. Baekhyun was leaving for Paris, and Chanyeol was doing everything in his power to stop himself from begging him to forgo his internship and stay with him: to stay in his comfortable apartment, cuddled on the couch they only just picked out together, watching old horror movies and avoiding being responsible adults.

i started reading this story knowing it'd turn bittersweet and angsty quickly and that's what i came here for. long distance relationships are never easy, and keeping it going online is pretty hard. i've had similar experience(friendship wise) and we stopped talking for weeks too, me thinking i was boring/annoying her when she had so much to do and friends and school and her on the other side thinking i was okay with us not talking(which hurt her, the assumption). i felt all these tiny non meaningful texts they shared, and i understood them both. while it may be easy to side only with chanyeol, i think baekhyun also had points. yes he shouldn't have cancelled on skype so much and broken his promise, but things happen. he's there only for 6 months, he won't be there all his life and he has things to do. he was maybe even more busy than chanyeol. and yeah, without luhan like he said, he'd have been SO lonely. but i also get chanyeol, he misses the man damn it :( the texts become non meaningful and almost like a task. i think they would've both worked that out better if instead they agreed on once a week to have a skype night together. every single day is absurd for 2 people with different timezones and hectic lives. i definitely enjoyed their characterisation and the side kaisoo *_*

i forgot to add that i hope they have an in depth conversation about everything and not just make it an apology getting accepted and let's get back together
