Foreword

He'll be there; he has to. I told myself ; at least, that was what I desperately hoped to believe. It was graduation for Christ's sake. Even the most popular guy at school wouldn't miss this glorious day.

The anguishing feeling of seeing Jongin or not was rabidly eating away my senses. I bolted through the heavy doors of the pavillion expecting to find him there. My gut feeling was telling me that I was despairingly hopeless but I chose not to acknowledge it , and persevered.

Jongin needed to know. He needed to tell me what to do; to assure me that my decision was the right decision. He needed to help me...because I needed him more than ever.

The large room was filled with the high spirited students of the graduating class; most of which I had never seen in my life. I made my way over to the section , where my class would eventually be seated, and there I searched for a particular tan skinned fellow.

Unfortunately,  it was just face after face and none of them was Jongin's. I happened to briefly bump into Hye Na, the school's valedictorian,  and another classmate, but neither of them claimed to have seen Jongin.

I was panicking then; stressed on a joyous day such as this. He really wanted me to end high school on a bad note didn't he. That jerk.

Two slight taps were felt on my right shoulder. In those few seconds, I hoped it was the very person I was expecting to see.By instict I reacted to the touch and turned around so see who it was.

"Hi, Sumin!" Sehun greeted with this overly charged excitement.

"Oh Hey, Sehun." I greeted back , disappointed,  with less enthusiasm as he. As I faced him, I continued to scan the people behind him;  peeking over his shoulder and still not losing hope.

"Looking for someone? " He asked, noticing my lack of interest.

I nodded, "Have you seen Jongin?" He seemed to have a puzzled look on his face as a response to my question.

He took a moment before responding, "I haven't seen him since the dance." Sehun replied.

I feared that it would come to this. Jongin really was avoiding me. I was already mentally banging my head to the slightly worn out, wood flooring and thinking about yanking my nicely curled hair out of their follicles , but all I really did was let out a frustrated grunt.

"Me neither." I managed to speak normally despite all of the internal commotion.

However, Sehun wouldn't take it. "Is there a problem?" He asked, concerned.

Without thinking, I brought my hands up to my stomach and  swallowed painfully the words that wanted to be revealed.

Just then, I realized I had a decision to make, with or without Jongin, the choice was mine.
