It was already 1am and Sooyoung wasn't home yet. She had to go to a radio talk show earlier in the evening, and her roommate, Jessica would know. After all, she was listening to all the witty comments the Shikshin put in in response to all the questions the radio listeners asked her. Which is why Jessica was wondering where the younger girl was. The show ended two hours ago. Sooyoung was suppose to be home by now.

Jessica was lying in bed, lights still on, reading a book. The rest of her members were already asleep but Jessica thought someone should wait for Sooyoung. Tick. Tick. It was now 1:27am. Jessica eyes the clock and clicks her tongue, then returning her focus on the book.

Suddenly Jessica hears footsteps coming from outside, prying her attention away from the story in her hands. A moment later Sooyoung bursts into their room and drops her messanger bag to the side. She had no make up on but Sooyoung was a natural beauty anyway. She was clad only in grey sweats, a semi low V-neck white tee, and a black cardigan. Sooyoung yawns and ruffles her boyish hair, not even bothering to greet her roommate. 

Jessica's brow twitches in annoyance. "Sooyoung where the heck were you?" She wasn't sure if Sooyoung was ignoring her or that she didn't hear her because right in front of her Sooyoung just pulls down her sweats, making it very visible for Jessica to catch a glimpse of her underwear. "WHAT THE.. SOOYOUNG!" Jessica hides her eyes behind her book, also to mask the obvious blush on her cheecks. She hopes that her sudden outburst didn't wake anyone up. 

"What? I'm just changing," the tall girl replies. Sooyoung walks over to the drawer and pulls out a pair of pajama pants, swiftly putting them on. She removes her cardigan and stuffs it in the drawer, not even bothering to fold it neatly. Sooyoung huffs and walks over to her bag and takes out a japanese shoujo manga and walks over to the bed and sits next to Jessica, only her legs underneath the blankets.

"Where were you?" Jessica asks.

"Out," Sooyoung replies, eyes on the manga. 

"Where exactly?"

"Eating."

"That doesn't tell me where, dimwit!" Jessica exclaims.

"Why are you so irritated?!" Sooyoung asks, raising her voice.

"Answer the freakin' question Sooyoung!"

"Stop nagging me!"

"TELL ME!"

Sooyoung slams her manga on her lap. "I WAS OUT EATING AT THAT LATE NIGHT CHINESE RESTAURANT TWO BLOCKS AWAY OKAY?! THE DJ TREATED ME AFTER THE SHOW!" 

Jessica huffs and crosses her arms, still annoyed with the younger girl. "That wasn't so hard to say was it? You could have at least called saying you were going to stay late!"

"What are you? My mom?! I'm in college now! I can take care of myself!" Sooyoung scoffs. 

"I WAS WORRIED YOU IDIOT!" Sooyoung flinches under the Ice Princess' retort, a wave of guilt hitting her. Jessica lowers her head, her hands shaking. "I didn't know where you were for the past two hours. Everyone else went to bed at midnight... but I didn't..."

A teardrop falls from Jessica's eye.

"I waited for you... I waited and waited. When the clock said it was 1am, I was worried. Then thirty minutes later you just waltz in here like coming home this late doesn't mean anything! You don't even say hello, you rudely ignore me, and you can't even bother to answer one simple question!" Another teardrop falls. Jessica adds more quietly, "Is it so wrong to ask where you were just because I was worried about you? You didn't even bother to call... You didn't even bother to call me... I only wanted to know if you were okay..."

Sooyoung stares at her, the guilt now stabbing at her heart. "Jessica... I..." Without another word Jessica sets her book aside and pulls the covers over her body, facing away from Sooyoung. Even though Sooyoung couldn't see Jessica's face, she knew the older girl was crying. Sooyoung never meant to hurt her and make her cry. She lets out a sigh and gets up to put her manga back into her bag. As she puts her finger tip above the light switch, she was able to glance at Jessica's face. Sooyoung knew it; Jessica was crying. Tears slowly slipped through closed eyes, and were rolling down the Ice Princess' cheeks. The sight pained Sooyoung. Letting out another sigh, Sooyoung turns off the lights and carefully navigates back to her side of the bed in the darkness. She takes a last look at Jessica's silhouette before slipping under the covers.

Jessica opens her eyes and lets them get adjusted to the darkness. Still facing away from the younger girl, she could feel Sooyoung moving around a bit, trying to get comfortable. Her tears have stopped but her eyes still felt stingy and she could feel her cheeks were still slightly wet.  Jessica hated when her emotions get the best of her; she didn't need to cry in front of Sooyoung. All she wanted to do was to state her point, not to make the matter a big deal out of it. The Ice Princess sighs and pulls the blankets closer to her body.

The next thing Jessica knows is that she feels Sooyoung snake an arm around her waist and pulls her in close, hugging the older girl from behind. Jessica makes a tiny squeak, startled at the sudden action. "Sooyoung...?" Jessica breathes. She shivers as she feels Sooyoung's lips lightly brush her ear.

"I'm sorry, Sica... Sorry for being inconsiderate..."  Jessica says nothing though her heart was beating fast. Sooyoung hugs Jessica tighter, as if letting her go was a matter of life or death. "I'm sorry, Jessica..." Sooyoung whispers into the Princess' ear. "Please don't cry anymore."

The sweetness and sincerity in Sooyoung's voice causes Jessica's eyes to tear again. She swallows and blinks back her tears. Jessica takes the hand on her waist and intertwines her fingers with Sooyoung's.

"I forgive you... And I'll always love you, Sooyoung." She could feel Sooyoung smiling behind her, causing herself to smile too.

"And you'll always be my Princess. I love you too, Jessica."
