Foreword

A Sneak Peak . . .

"Hey, can I borrow a pencil?"

She looked over to the brunette boy who leaned her way. For a moment, it was as if she was star-struck. His big brown eyes looked into her caramel view, her pink lips remained silent as closed up. Stuttering, she handed him an extra pencil.

"S-sure."

He cocked his head and smirked. "You're funny," He said, as he took the pencil from her pale hands.

"Funny?" She said quietly.

He smiled at her and bumped her shoulder with his, "Yeah, funny." He turned back to face the front of the room. Smiling to himself, he started to draw something on the corner of his paper.

Blinking at his profile in disbelief, she too positioned herself to face the front of the room once again. Starting to write down the rest of the notes on the white board, she faintly smiled. "Funny. I'm funny?" She thought. "How am I funny? What did I do?"

She took one more quick glance over to him again, and was surprised to find him already looking at her. Like an instinct, she shifted her gaze to the wall behind him and slowly made her way to the ceiling, to the wall opposite him, and back to her paper. She pulled her hair behind her ear to try and make it all seem and look more natural, but all hope was lost. He was already snickering at her, he knew she was looking at him.

Continuing to try and play it off, she started to doodle on her paper. She drew a small flower, and as she drew the third petal, a small piece of paper landed on her desk. She sat up straight and looked around the room. Everyone was working diligently, even the brunette boy next to her.

She unfolded the paper and turned a rosy shade of pink when she had seen the smiley face in the center of it. As she folded the paper back up, she once again pulled her hair behind her ear and slid it under the white paperclip in her planner. Biting her lip, she looked to the brunette boy once more.

He smiled at her, shaking his head as he faced back to his paper.

No words. She had no words to describe all of the butterflies in her stomach. What was his name anyway?

She leaned foreword over the table and looked slyly at his paper.

"Kwangmin...Jo Kwangmin? Is that right?" She checked once more to be sure, and nodded in assurance.

She heard his snickering laugh once again and looked over to him to find him grinning at her. "You are too much."

"Too much?"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Mr. Jo, Miss. Lee, I suggest you stop flirting and start paying a bit more attention to the lesson. Thank you."

Her eyes grew wide and her face flushed once more as the class turned to the two and a faint, "Oooooooh," arose from her peers. She sheepishly rubbed her neck as she bit her lip again and started to take down the notes she had started earlier.

With a smirk on his face and admittantly a bit of warmth in his heart, an emabrassed smile started to spread on his face. He liked this girl, she was fun to mess with. He might just get to know her a little. Yeah, that sounded nice. Getting to know Charlotte Lee, that wasn't something you heard every day.

He nodded to himself. And, almost like an instinct, he smiled.
