Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Taeyeon was just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life in a small Fire Nation town. Then, everything changed when she lost everything she held close to her heart. Through a series of fated events, she finds out that she is destined to become a hero, but she has a lot to learn before she can save anyone. Will she be able to fulfill her destiny once great trouble brews?

Thousands of years ago, in another world we have never seen, people were gifted with an amazing ability to control either air, water, earth, or fire at their own will. They were called benders. Some benders were more gifted at bending than others and some use different techniques. However, only one person was able to control all four of the elements. That one person had the obligation to protect the world from wars, destruction, and utter chaos. That special person was called the Avatar. Everyone held the Avatar in high esteem. The Avatar was supposed to be connected with the spiritual realm and the physical realm, and was said to be full of wisdom. As long as the Avatar was alive, the entire world was assured that there would be peace. Although the Avatar was amazingly powerful, he was not immortal. When an Avatar dies, a new one would be born again. And so, the world would never be out of balance for too long.
