Foreword
Jinki is an experienced ninja trying to kidnap Korea’s crowned prince, Kim Jonghyun. Jinki has been carefully planning this abduction for nearly a year now, slipping into the castle unnoticed and watching Jonghyun go about his daily life. Even though Jinki has never been the most systematized person, when he’s on duty he is the most skilled ninja in the entire country.
But even with all of that expertise, not even Jinki could resist Jonghyun’s charming grin and sweet personality. In the course of one year, Jinki has learned that Prince Jonghyun is very kind and caring, always willing to lend a hand or be a shoulder to lean on. The prince also goes out of his way to stroll through all of the villages in his kingdom at least twice a month, disguised as a commoner as he makes small talk with the people to keep up to date with events in case government officials try to keep secrets from him.
All in all, Jinki thinks that the crowned prince was a rather fine person to become king―he would rule the kingdom with a generous and dutiful hand―and it also helped that Kim Jonghyun had a horribly attractive face that made him even princelier. The best part, Jinki had decided after watching Jonghyun practice his sword-fighting techniques with Lord Choi Minho, was that the prince didn’t just sit around all day only educating himself in the texts. Jonghyun believed in going out and learning firsthand, experiencing things on his own to better improve himself. And improve he did, in more ways than one.
(Jinki has admired, on many occasions those rippling muscles, cunning eyes, and pearly-white smile from rather close proximity now.)
