In this world, there’s such a thing called magic. Half of the populations in the world have magic. Most of them use magic for money. And to make it simple, they usually formed a group to work and travel. These people are called mage.

Civilians usually asked them a help (usually being called as mission or request) and when they finished their request, they will give the mage money or something useful for the mage. So in order to stay alive, the mage travel the country, village, city, or maybe world to make their magic ability stronger and also collect money by doing a request.

This world was ruled by four kingdoms; the north kingdom, the east kingdom, the south kingdom, and the west kingdom. Their sign of kingdom was a jewel. Each jewel has a meaning. The north hold the ground jewel, the east hold the wind jewel, the south hold the water jewel, and the west hold the fire jewel.

The jewel was kept in a secret place in each kingdom. These jewels were used by the ancestor of these kingdoms on 450AM* (600 years ago) to kill the demon lord; Lee Soo Man. All of the kingdoms kept the jewel just in case if the demon lord was revived once again.

The north kingdom was the ruler of the ruler. The east kingdom was the second, the south kingdom was the third, and the west kingdom was the last. But the kings and the queens never hated each other so they live peacefully.

But then, in 900AM (150 years ago) the west kingdom doesn’t like being in the last position. So, the king and the queen of this kingdom tried to make an ally with the east and south kingdom. The south kingdom willingly made an ally with them while the east kingdom doesn’t. But since they already knew their plan, the king ordered a person to tell the north kingdom before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, when that person arrived at the north kingdom, the king from the north already received false information from the west, saying that the east wanted to kill the king from the north in order to take over the throne. So, the king of north already sent some people to destroy the east. So the east was destroyed in 900AM.

In 905AM, there’s a weird unexplainable explosion in south kingdom and made the both kingdom blame each other. The west felt so angry that their ally was attacked. While the north felt angry in different way and that make the north kingdom sent war declaration to the west. Without wasting any moment, they both attacked each other and made a war.

In 925AM, the north win the war after the north kill the king of the west. And after that, they lived happily ever after. That was they thought so. Until the east, south, and west jewels went missing. They thought things couldn’t get worse but it could. The north jewel was found lost in the next day too.

There’re so many unexplainable things.

First, why did the king of west think about rebellion? Before this happened, they never hated each other. Who or what make the king changes his mind?

Second, why did the west arrive at the north faster than the east at the north kingdom? Did they plan this before hand? But how?

Third, why did the south had a weird unexplainable explosion? Who caused it? And what are their purposes for destroying the south?

Fourth, who steal the jewels? What for? Where are the jewels now?

Those questions were remained unanswered in all these years. Until, six people decided to search for the answer. Little did they know what danger will their journey be?

*AM (After Magic). It dedicated for how many years this world have magic. So basically, after magic was born, it was counted as AM years.
