Description
Seo Joohyun, aka Seohyun, was just an ordinary highschool girl, going on with her hard life and conflicts. She was just another face on the yearbook. Just another person you'd pass by in the hallways. She was never popular like those mean girls who think they're all cool.
But her life isn't just hard; it's terrible.
Her friendship with someone just ended bitterly, and she just realizes that she doesn't have other friends to hang out with.
Her mother divorced with her dad and moved away, causing her father to make stupid mistakes.
While he's in jail, Seohyun stays with her cousin and aunt. Her aunt really doesn't care about her, though.
People in her school keep telling her to be someone she's not.
The upside was her cousin.
Seohyun always grew up trying her best in everything, even if it didn't go well. And she always just decided to stick with studying, for she had no other social plans.
But one day, she meets the party boy of her neighborhood, Cho Kyuhyun---witty, charming, music-obsessed, fun-loving, and very deep when it comes to feelings.
With this college-boy's help, she learns to listen to her heart and do what she wants to do---not what everyone thinks she should do.
Foreword
I walked in front of the building, remembering what had happened between me and Seungyeon over winter break. It was a cruel way to end a friendship, though she wasn't really the type of person I'd like to hang out with.
We were different, but because I'm not much of a social person, I decided that I might as well hang out with her.
I hoped that maybe, she'd forget what had happened between us. Maybe, I could apologize. I didn't want to be a loner coming back from winter break. I didn't want to be all by myself.
I was hoping maybe a little too much.
Because as soon as she saw me, she and her other friends gave this nasty look. I wasn't that close to her, but I could hear her mutter under her breath, "."
Her friends smirked and they walked off.
So I began the second semester of my junior year alone. And I walked in the school building alone. Then I walked to homeroom alone.
Maybe, it was better this way because I realize now that she was turning me into something I didn't want to be. I tried to make the best of it. But being alone was the worst.
I guess I really did need him in my life.
