Foreword

It’s another day of work. You work at a coffee shop along the streets of Seoul. It is the perfect job as a pass time in your school years. After school and during the weekends you work at this coffee shop. It is small and you know most of the people who come daily. You get along with all the customers and they all love you because you’re the fresh, cute little lively worker at the shop. It is a family owned shop but they treat you like their family either way. Every day you see the same general people, and they always ask about school and what you plan on doing when you get older. And every day they ask the same question.

“Do you have a boyfriend yet (Y/N)?”

And every day you answer no, and you go on to explain how they will be able to tell when you got one. You constantly tell the older folk at the shop your love fantasies because they love to hear your imagination. They call you the princess of the coffee shop because you would often dance around the shop, handing people their orders as she passed them, smooth and graceful as a princess. Of course you just let them call you that, it be a little rude to go against elders.

You’re at your usual post today, giving the orders to people as you pleased, and not in the way where you chose to give to some and not give to others. You hummed and had fun as you gave people they’re orders. The music they play at the shop is always classical, smooth and soothing. It creates a relaxing feel to the place which just made your little delivery service all the cuter for the people who came.

It’s a rarity to have someone around your age come into the shop,  it just doesn’t happen. You don’t think you’ve ever seen someone your age come into this place since you've worked  here.

“sonnyeo-ddal!” you hear the owner of the shop call out to you. This just says something about how close you are to the family who owns the shop. They call you granddaughter and you call them grandma and grandpa. You turn and head towards the counter to see why he was calling you.

“Yes Harabeoji?” you ask, with a smile on your face. He hands you a tray and the piece of paper with the name of the table on it as well as the order. He looks at you with a smile and you are confused. “Harabeoji..? Is there something weird on my face?” you ask and he shakes his head no. he simply pushes you towards the tables. You shrug and playfully skip your way over to the table when you hear a voice call out.

“Are you always like this?” it is a boy speaking. Not a man, a boy. He sounds around your age and you freak for a split second. You have no idea there was someone your age here and you feel a flush of embarrassment. You look to the table where the noise was coming from and you see a pair of bright, adorable eyes watching you. He grins at you and you knew who you were serving right off the bat. Some people said you were too old for idol crushes but how could you not fall for someone as adorable as him? And by him you mean Zelo, from B.A.P.  During the moment of realization you forget that you were supposed to be giving him his order and you place his tray on the table in front of him. You stand there awkwardly and he speaks again.

“I’m going to guess by the way no one is looking at you weird this is a common thing you do, dancing up to people’s tables.” He says chuckling again as he takes a sip of his coffee. You nod slowly and he nods in confirmation.  “It’s cute.” He says in English. “Keep it up.” He finishes in English. He must not think you understand English but you do, your parents drilled it into you as a kid and you took it as a language at school. It’s your turn to laugh and he looks back up to you from his coffee.

“Thank you, I will keep it up.” You reply in English in return and he almost chokes on his coffee. Yep, he didn’t know you understood him. That happens every once in a while. And you’re used to it, but it’s never been any sort of flirting. You feel a confident smile on your lips and he laughs.

“That usually trips people up…you know English?” he asks, patting the table across from him, motioning for you to sit. A little surprised, you sit across from him and nod. This is a little odd to you, and extremely surreal. You’re sitting across from Zelo, who is willingly talking to you and calling you cute.

“My Parents want me to study in the United States, so they have been teaching me English ever since I was young.” You reply, a little happier that you are conversing in Korean. You know English like the back of your hand, but you always get weird stares when you talk in English because most people don’t know that language. He nods, and takes another sip of his coffee. He hasn’t removed that smile since you brought him his coffee and you find yourself getting butterflies. The whole ‘you look better in real life than on TV’ thing is really true.

He pulls away from his mug and there is a line above his upper lip, a coffee mustache. You giggle and he raises an eyebrow. You take a napkin and dab at the coffee mustache, until there is nothing left. He watches, and it seems as if he is frozen. You put the napkin down and look at him. His cheeks are turning pink. You embarrassed him? Wow is all you can think at the moment.

He brushes off the blush with a laugh and another adorable smirk. “I’m surprised I’m the only one this age here, with you serving here, you’d expect more boys.” He says with a very confident tone. His adorable looks find a way to contradict his words and this comes as a shock to you. You ran two fingers through your hair and heave a soft giggle. Not the kind of giggle girls use when flirting, a legitimate giggle. You see no reason as to why boys would find you cute.

“I wasn’t joking. You’re actually quite beautiful which is why I want to press this question.” He says waiting for any sort of reaction to come from your mouth. You blink a few times, processing the moment. You answer for him to ask the question and he goes to speak again. “Do you get Free Coffee here? Because you work here? Because if you do, that won’t do, a guy is supposed to spend money on the girl he likes…” you listen to his words and now you really feel a blush attack your face. You answer, telling him that you do get coffee free and he shakes his head, clicking his tongue thrice. “Well then…(Y/N) right? That’s what someone here called you, I was wondering…”

“Would you let me take you out for a lunch date?
