IU: Lee Jieun. May 16th, 1993. 16. Class President. A sweet, nerdy, music-loving teen who has a major crush on the kingka-Kim Myungsoo or L. She has an older brother (Sungyeol) and her father passed away when she was 8. She lives with her mom and older brother. Her mother owns a bakery/café. She helps her mother occassionally and she is musically talented. She writes songs in her freetime and plays the guitar almost all the time. After college is comming to an end she becomes very ill and is hospitalized for a very long time. Her boyfriend at the time, who is Wooyoung, is really sweet to her and she wants to forgive him.

L: Kim Myungsoo. March 13, 1992. 17. Kingka of the school and is in the school band group known as "Infinite." He is the visual and he is a naughty, bad arse type of boy. He secretly likes Jieun too but has no intentions of confessing to her. He is the school's ace and he is practically good at everything he does. He is the only child and he practically lives alone because his father is always working and his mother died a long time ago. He has a little sister but she's very ill and practically lives in the hospital. At one point visits IU when she is sick in the hospital but notices this other guy.

Lee Sungyeol: August 27, 1991. 17. Part of band with Myungsoo. Myungsoo's hyung/best friend and acts like his mother most of the time. They are closer than family. Sungyeol is IU's older brother. Always with each other and always support each other with love. Everyone is jealous of their friendship. Sungyeol always gives L advice because he is more experienced and is friends with Jieun's friend: Jiyeon.

Infinite: Band that Sungyeol and L are in. They are popularly known for their "scorpion dance." They are a school idol boy group and they are the kingkas of the school. They have many fans all over even though they aren't officially famous yet.

Park Jiyeon: June 7, 1993.16. Jieun or IU's best friend. Also friends with Sungyeol. Treats IU like sister rather than just a friend. Always acts like a derpy dinosaur and is always with Jieun. She feels the most confident when she is by IU's side. She gives advice about boys very well. Luna's little sister. 

Park Sunyoung: Luna. August 12, 1993. 16. Jiyeon's older sister and best friends with IU and Jiyeon. The three of them are like a trio but Jiyeon and IU are waaaay closer. Luna is sort of tom boy ish so she is the one that stands most out of them. She is the fashionista and is more "gangster" like. 

Seo Inguk: October 23, 1987. 21. IU's arranged fiancé after she finishes college. They get along really great. He's sweet, dorky, and derpy like she is. Family really likes him and he is her family's friend's son. They are arranged to get together after her and Wooyoung break up. He really likes IU and will fight for her even if it means to hurt L's feelings. 

Jang Wooyoung: April 30, 1989. 19. Was intrigued by IU in college. They both met each other in college and started dating. He sort of made IU his pet and took advantage. Romantic and smooth but dangerous. Went to a different high school but majored in music like her. When IU was hospitalized for a long time. He realized what he did was wrong. Somewhat fell in love with her innocence. He is a player. His friends are all bad boys and he never learned. He took IU for granted and hurt her really badly. Later tries to get back together with her.

Son Naeun: February 10, 1994. 15. Fairy Princess. Fake. Follows Myungsoo around all the time just because she is one of the popular girls in highschool. In college, L agrees to go out with her for awhile but he still can't let go of IU. She won't give up on L so she will keep fighting until the end. Can be a real mean witch.
