“Please, go out with me!” she said as she bowed in front of him.

No, she was no fool.  She was just a girl in love.  For two years, she had been following him, always hoping that she would have this chance to make him look at her.

She could feel the stares boring through her body, the sneers and leers toward her.  She heard someone clucking at her audacity to propose to someone like him in front of many people.

Everyone became quiet, she could even hear the crickets celebrating the setting sun.  She could feel her knees starting to give in and her back aching.  Then she heard his footsteps getting closer.  Her eyes widened when he squatted in front of her and his face suddenly was looking up at her.

“I’m Yunho.  I’m the one you were asking, right?” he asked, unblinkingly looking up at her.

She nodded furiously.  There was no one she wanted more than him.

“You should look at me, not your shoes,” he said as he straightened up.  She looked up and plucked more courage within her to look at him.

“Jung Yunho, go out with me.  Please,” she said more loudly this time.

“Okay,” he said and turned back to continue walking.

She stared at his back, mouth wide open and still not believing what she just heard.  He looked back at her.  “I said okay, didn’t I? Did you change your mind already?”

“No!  I’m coming!”

She looked back at her friends.  They were all smiling and cheering for her and she ran after him.
