PROLOGUE

Qingdao, China

                “Dad, do you think I can make it?” Tao asked.

                “Why? Are you nervous?” an old man next to Tao held his shoulder gently.

Tao nodded once as a reply to his dad.

“Son, listen. No matter if you make it or not, I want you to remember this one thing. When you stand on the stage, enjoy it like you always do, okay?” Mr. Huang lifted up Tao’s spirit.

Tao took a deep breath and exhaled, his nervousness slowly gone.

                “Huang Zi Tao, please get ready. You are next.” A runner called him.

                “Now, go! Show them what you have.”

Tao stood up and bravely walked on the stage. He took another deep breath and performed as the music started. All the audience amazed. The judges were impressed and smiled at each other. A judge whispered to BoA’s ear.

                “Looks like you’ve found what you want.” BoA replied with a smile.

Tao succeeded to be in top 10. The management stated that the winner will be announced in few days more.

                “See. I’ve told you before, right?” Mr. Huang gave a satisfied smile.

                “Yes Dad, you are always right.” Tao nodded.

Now, the only thing in his mind was his mum.

                “Mum must be happy when she heard about this.”

Mr. Huang and Tao walked together, heading to a car.
