Foreword

Shin Se Kyung was from a poor family. She didn't get along with her parents, particularly her father. He would sell his daughter just for money. Shin Se Kyung, 21, wanted to leave her parents but because she cared so much for her little brother, she stayed. If she was to leave, who would care for an 8 year old boy?


"Unni, promise me you won't ever leave me again?" his eyes twinkles.


She smile and patted his head.


"Unni promise not to leave you ever again."
 

"Pinky swear?" he says as he pointed his pinky at her.


She smile.


"Pinky swear."


She swear with him, to never leave his side again. That promise didn't last long. After a long day from work, she came home to find no lights on as she came closer to her house.


Weird. She thought. Maybe they are all asleep?


She shrug as she opens up her house.


Surprisingly, her house was in a mess. She drops her bag onto the ground, calling out her family's name.


"Joon? Umma. Appa?"


All of their rooms were in a mess. She sank down onto the ground sobbing quietly.


They all left me again, she cry. They abandon me once again.


Listening quietly, she heard footsteps. She got up quickly, hoping that it was her family who came back to get her. She didn't want to be alone. She just wanted to be with them, especially her little brother.


Running out of her parent's bedroom, she came a sudden stop.


"Wh-who are you?" she ask the gentleman in the suit.


He smiles at her, brushing his hair backwards.


"I'm your husband."
