MY STORY

I'm AXISfling, a graphic designer who'd been through the series of using Pixlr Edit, GIMP and Photoshop. I've been known as Axis, quite a lot, but my realname is Jess. The complete name to that is Jasielle, so you can either call me Jess or Jas; since there's already plenty of Jess'es around here. The better choice might be JAS. (laughs) 

i have been designing for quite a while. take it for two years or so. my true passion lies within music, as i am a pianist, a beginner violinist and a classical vocalist. but i am also obviously obsessed with graphic designs too, that is why i am here.

i started of as a reviewer in aff before converting my attentions toward graphics when i was bored with reviewing stories. it takes up both of my time and concentration which leads me to no time for myself. since this is basically a freelance hobby/ or job, why don't i relax a little? eventually i started designing by my own. my passion for designs was influenced by my favourite designers - 'superstar-k' and 'beowulf'. they were both amazing designers who excels in cutting designs.  their work might be more suitable for romcom stories, but they have a way to put the angst and dramatic feel to their very own personaly designs. unfortunately, they aren't around anymore. and as much as i want to share their work with everyone, they've just gone m.i.a.

my journey began when i was introduced to asianfanfics.com by a very go friend of mine. she has been my classmate and a childhood friend for six years. she hook me up with this website with intention of making me a kpop fanatic, which she succeeded.  i want to thank her so much for this because she was also the first person who encouraged me to making designs on the computer. she even introduced me to my very first designing software - pixlr.

i first took up pixlr as a stepping stone, (a free software that you use online for designs) to start combining random stuffs for graphic contests. at that time, i didn't know s about blending and colouring, nor manipulation or placements.

sooner or later, i subscribed to more threads that gives free tutorials for graphic designs. then, i downloaded gimp for myself for a tryout. it took me a month to get used to that software to provide even better posters for my requestors. and then, i realised that i have been neglecting the one and only software that i already have on my laptop, and that is photoshop. 

it took all of my courage to stop myself from using gimp because i literally uninstalled that software to devote myself into photoshop. it took me months to perfect my usage onto that software, which was hell i tell you guys, - hell.

nonetheless, the hard work did pay off. and look where it's got me. (smiley face) NOW, I REALLY LOVE DESIGNING with photoshop. ONLY PROBLEM IS that i don't HAVE enough FOCUS TO DO IT. BECAUSE... I AM DISTRACTED BY MINECRAFT... HEHEHE

P.S. THE LAYOUT WASN'T CODED BY ME. IT BELONGS TO NEFELIBATA THEMES.  THEIR DESIGNS were MAGNIFICENT! I AM LITERALLY TOO LAZY TO THINK OF ANY NEW CODES FOR MY REVAMP.

WELL, GOD HELP ME IF I WERE TO REVAMP MY PORTFOLIO AGAIN, GIVE ME THE IMAGINATIONS FOR IT...
