Description
A Korean-American girl, who was born in Seoul, South Korea, was brought to America at the age of six months. She is an only child to Korean-American parents, who were very adapted to the American lifestyle as they had practically grown and lived in America since young. Because her parents were so adapted to the American lifestyle, the girl was brought up the same way. She was hardly ever been exposed to the Korean lifestyle. However, despite not ever living in Korea before, she managed to speak, read, write, and understand Korean decently as her second language. Her first, native language is, of course, English.
With the influence to become an explorer because of her father's love for traveling, she was encouraged by her mother to travel to Korea when she was in the process of thinking of where else to travel during her winter break. She thought the trip to Korea would only be for a couple of weeks but her mother had something else planned out for her. Her mother had enrolled her in a Study Abroad program, which means she has to be in Korea for six whole months, a whole semester in the Spring at a Korean high school.
How will her stay in Korea be like? Will she love it? Will she be able to adapt to the lifestyle that she hardly been exposed to? Or, will she end up giving up on the adaptation and fly back home? What will happen to her?
