“Hyung, Hyung!”

Taemin rapidly knocked the door. Onew was waiting for Key to cook their dinner but it was past 8 and there’s still no sign of him.

“What!?”

Onew was terrified of Taemin’s weeping.

“K-Key Hyung...”

Onew knew that something was wrong. He then rushed to the car and drove to the hospital with Taemin. When they reached the hospital, Minho was already waiting outside.

“Onew hyung!”

Minho shouted running towards Onew and Taemin.

“Jonghyun hyung and Key got hit by a car...Jonghyun hyung seems okay b-but...Key...he’s..”

Minho looked at Onew whose eyes were starting to get teary.

“Where are they?”

Onew asked Minho. They asked the nurse who took the two in.

“Mr. Kim Jonghyun is at room 204 and Mr. Kim Kibum is at room 206, you may visit Mr. Jonghyun but Mr. Kibum is currently in a critical condition right now, please pray for him.”

At that time, tears started to fall from Onew’s eyes. Minho tried to comfort Taemin but nothing could stop their maknae from crying.
They went to Jonghyun’s room to check if he’s awake.

“Jjong, how are you feeling?”

Onew asked him but he didn’t answer. Then Jonghyun pulled Onew closer and whispered to him:

“It’s my fault...It’s my fault that Key’s dying...”

Jonghyun started to cry. Minho and Taemin were curious of what Jonghyun whispered to Onew. They asked, but Onew wouldn’t tell them.

“Jonghyun hyung, it’s okay, we’re here.”

Minho held Jonghyun’s hand and caressed it. Jonghyun smiled at Minho.

“I know, and thank you.”

Taemin hugged Jonghyun a bit tightly. Still, he wouldn’t stop crying.

“You should check on Kibum tomorrow.”

“We will, Jjong. Get well soon, we love you.”

Jjong smiled at Onew as they left his room.

“Wait, c-can’t we check on hyung now?”

Taemin asked Minho while shaking his arm.

“We can’t, the doctors are still---“

Taemin ran to room 206 before Onew could even finish his sentence. Taemin looked through the small window on the door. Two nurses and a doctor were fixing some sort of machine. Key had little scratches on his face and bruises on his arms, and his lifeline was slow.
Taemin stepped back and the nurse noticed him. Having a concerned look on the nurse’s face, she then said:

“I’m sorry for you to witness this now but I have to let you know that your friend is in a coma...”

Taemin didn’t reply. He ran towards his hyungs and told them the bad news.

“He’s in a coma? Did she say anything else? When will he wake up?”

Onew bombared Taemin with endless questions that he could no longer answer.

“Hyung, he’ll wake up. Let’s just continue to pray for him, he’ll get well soon.”

Minho grabbed Onew’s hand and pulled him towards the exit.
