Description

Sonnie Kay just graduated high school in Hawaii, top of her class, with a promising future ahead of her. People expected her to become a doctor, lawyer, or maybe even someone in politics. But, only few knew her true dream: to sing onstage with the Korean boy band, Super Junior! So, instead of going to a prestigious school, she pursued a bachelor's degree in theater at a small private university. Because of the numerous scholarships she was able to obtain, she only paid a small percentage of her tuition. Sonnie then decided to take the study abroad program to Korea, in hopes of singing onstage with the worldwide group known as Super Junior...

Foreword

~ Sonnie Kay (Na Somi)

Our protagonist of the story, Sonnie is a normal girl wishing to be anything but. Her family is rich, but unwilling to help her in her future endeavors and insists that she pays for her own tuition. She is a girl who is meant for more, expected for more. Her parents made it their goal to turn her into a doctor, however she had different plans. She wanted to stand onstage and sing with one of Korea's many boy bands, Super Junior. If staying in Hawaii and going to a small private college like Hawaii Pacific University would grant her wish, then that was the path for her to take. Sonnie is a girl with big dreams and will go to any length to attain them.

~ Ma Woojin (L.Joe or Lee Byunghun)

Woojin is a mysterious guy from a mysterious origin. He has the tendency to be uncaring when meeting strangers, but soft and gentle once he gets to know a person. From first glance, he captures Sonnie's heart and is captivated by her. He reminds her of a certain KPop idol, of whom he refuses to be over and over again. Woojin carries a secret that only a selected few know about. While Sonnie tries to uncover his secret, he distances himself from her, knowing that he would be discovered sooner than later.

~ Yesung (Kim Jongwoon)

Weird, quirky, and absolutely adorable, Yesung is Sonnie's favorite Super Junior member. She loves everything about him: from his 4D personality, to his smile, to his unrestricted, husky voice. Yesung is the only reason for going to Korea, though it may seem like an illegitimate excuse to study abroad there. Her dream is to sing onstage with him, even if it's just for a few seconds. After meeting him on the airplane from Hawaii to Korea, fate seems to favor her as she and Yesung meet face to face more than once.
