Luhan had a dreamy look on his face, his palms spread on his supple cheeks, elbows leaning on the desk. His hair was tousled, not on purpose, definitely, and his forehead had the zig-zag lines of his pencil case zipper which he was leaning on for what seemed like ages before Baekhyun found him.

 

Baekhyun sighed heavily, feeling a strong urge to flip a table or something.

 

He was running close to the deadline of his final year project submission. Being the absolute lazy bum he was, Baekhyun had idled his time away on computer games, sketching and going to Cosplay conventions instead of working on his project.

 

He had four months left.

 

Four months to cough up a full 20-page report, complete with charts and diagrams, of the topic of his choice.

 

Which wouldn't be half as bad except for the fact that Baekhyun had absolutely no clue of what to do, how to obtain his resources, where to even start.

 

 

So, heeding the advice of his senior, Baekhyun sought the help of a very shady, eccentric young historical research professor, Luhan. 

 

It didn't faze him that Luhan was only five years older than him. It didn't faze him that Luhan was a Chinese national, yet he knew way way more about Korean history than the history of his own country. What fazed him was the overall weirdness of his new mentor.

 

 

 

"He's awesome!!" Yifan had said, his eyes sparkling in all sorts of ways possible. "I had three months to write my report from scratch, and he helped me, and voila!! I got a first class honours."

 

Baekhyun had bitterly reminded Yifan that he was a straight A student while he himself was barely struggling to meet the passing requirements of his modules.

 

But Yifan remained firm in his decision. "You ARE going to get Luhan as your mentor, because I say so. Here's his number."

 

 

 

And that was how Baekhyun found Luhan - asleep on a desk in an empty classroom, on top of his pencil case.

 

Luhan accepted the mentor request a little too excitedly, and Baekhyun was having second thoughts about this.

 

 

"You don't have a clue what to do, Byun Baekhyun?" Luhan interrupted him from his thoughts.

 

Baekhyun shook his head sadly. "Nope, not one bit."

 

"Well..." A smirk spread itself slowly on Luhan's face. "Why not go straight to the source?"

 

 

"Screw readings, screw textbooks, screw ancient documents. I've got something you might be somewhat interested in."

 

Baekhyun pressed his cheek to the table, only mildly anticipative. I mean, what good can come out of this loony dude who looks like a girl and speaks and moves like he's constantly high on Ecstasy?

 

"See, I got this Time Machine back at home..."

 

 

Baekhyun picked up his bag with a collected sigh and proceeded to trudge out of the classroom, when suddenly, freakishly, Luhan was leaning against the door jamb, grinning like a half-crazed clown.

 

"Nuh-uh, you ain't going anywhere, princess." Luhan waggled a finger at him, and Baekhyun distinctly felt something (probably his heart. Nope not probably, definitely) sink inside of him.

 

"I really don't have the time to entertain your jokes, Luhan sunbae." Baekhyun bowed apologetically and tried to leave the classroom. But with Luhan's body draped over it, it proved to be an impossible task.

 

"Come on." He leaned danergously close to Baekhyun, tipping his head and whispering huskily into his ear.
