"How about a date?"

The young waitress stopped and lifted her eyes from his glass to look at him directly. "What?" she asked, looking both shocked and bewildered.

"A date. You and me," Minho answered, amused by her reaction. It was cute really, especially the way she immediately blushed.

"I, uh...I don't think..." she stammered, standing back up straight and nervously straightening her apron with her hands. Her eyes searched his table for something to focus on as she continued to trip over his offer. "I'm flattered, really," she said in the end, managing to find her answer, "but I don't have time for dating right now."

"Not even one date?" he asked.

She looked back down at him and an awkward smile came to her lips. "Sorry."

He took the glass of tea she had just refilled and brought it to his lips, taking a large enough drink to make the refill worth it. He then took the bill and looked over the modest price, before rising. He took his wallet from his pocket and searched through his money, before pulling out a sizable bill - one that was twice as much as the money he owed for the meal. He set it on the table, where she would obviously see it.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Think about it," he said, before making his way to the counter to pay. He felt her eyes on him the entire time, and felt rather proud of himself. Given a little time, she would crack and accept his offer. He gave Taeyeon one last smile, before exiting the small establishment.

A/N: This is a random story I started writing last year. It kinda starts right in the middle, so I'm sorry if it's a little confusing. ^_^
