Misconceptions Of You
Description
Chanyeol has been gone for months now and Baekhyun still cannot get his mind wrapped around the idea that he is eternally absent so upon visiting a therapist, he finds the idea to write journal entries to his departed lover so that he can always stay in touch with him. Baekhyun promises he isn't going to let him off that easy. Through the entries, he relives their moments, from the ecstatic days filled with joy to to the agonizing and painful ones, relishing in the memories and ceasing to make his own. Until one day, he encounters someone so obliviously connected to the couple's lives. From then on, Baekhyun faces the ongoing dilemma of letting the reason for the start of his previous relationship into his messed up thoughts and even into his heart.
Foreword
Every loss, whatever it may be, has some one to carry it's heavy burden. Upon losing the protective atmosphere, humans would struggle underneath the weight of the sun's rays, until one day it's too much and the loss is too great to live on. Byun Baekhyun understood; he had also lost something, rather someone, dear he took for granted and was following the same procedure of deterioration and surrender. But the pain is soothing in a way, it keeps him sane, it reminds him of the loss and more importantly, the importance of the loss. For the overwhelming fear that one day, this suffering will end and he will in turn forget, threatens to devour him whole. And that's how the daily entries come in, Baekhyun, not that he'll ever admit, took the advice of one straight-forward, momentary counselor, ("...Write your feelings and thoughts on a piece of paper and then, upon completion, burn it up and forget.."), and began writing on the journal he had stubbornly tossed in the waste bin previously. And he did in fact record his feelings and thoughts, yet as always, with his own little twist, he wasn't going to forget, he was going to remember, and the entries became daily letters to his lost atmosphere, Park Chanyeol. And make him and his inafmous, beautifully spoken yet at all wrong times, quotes and saying matter, to the people of his own world.
"Having something other to think about than loss made me feel in fact, lost. And one can only hope to be lost, to be away from reality, from the sorrow and the restlessness. It is a generous labyrinth that one can only dream of never getting to the center of, one where coming to a dead-end is welcoming. No one wants to meet with the cruel monster in the center, pain"
-Byun Baekhyun
