"You what??"

"Umm, you're not happy to hear that?" she asks softly.

Her eyes rounded with worries. As if I would be mad hearing the news. As if... Are you kidding me? How could somebody be not happy hearing that kind of news?

"Happy? No, I'm not happy! I'm ecstatic!" I hug her small body tightly. Hold it as if I would die if I lose it. But yeah, I do think I would really die if I lose her right now. This woman, this small precious body who's now carrying my child. I'm not being hyperbolic, but my life really was turning upside down the moment I hear it.

"Uh, Hongki, relax!" she pushes me away a little bit. "Hold yourself before you make any damage."

"Damage?" I release her body but still hold on her tightly. "Uh, right. Sorry. I'm just too excited. Yeohee-ya~ you have no idea how happy I am right now~!" I hug her again.

"Yeah, yeah, sure. But I can't breathe!"

"Ah, sorry, hehe," I kiss her lightly on her forehead and release her. "Now who should I call first?" I reach for my phone in my pocket.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

I open the message editor and type quickly. Guess who's just being a daddy! Keke, I win! And then mass-sent it to four different numbers. Haha, in your face now, Choi Jonghun!

Yeohee eyeing me curiously."Hey, who're you just texting at?" she tries to reach my phone.

"Uh, no one," I keep it away from her. She's so short she couldn't even reach it, keke. But suddenly she pecks me on my lips, catches me off guard, and reaches for my phone.

"Yah! What is this? Lee Hongki, did you just using your unborn child as a bet??"

I snatch my phone away and run. "No, of course I'm not!! I swear!!"

"Then why are you running?" she chases me away, breathing heavily already. Aigoo, so cuute. I stop and she bumps right into me.

"So I could take a revenge on your unforgivable peck just now!" I hug her and sway her body joyfully.

"Un-unforgivable what?" she asks confusedly, still breathing hard.

"This," I kiss her fully.

Right now, my life is perfect.

Guess who's just being a daddy! Keke, I win!

I drop my drumsticks (the drumsticks as in the sticks for beating the drum, not the chicken drumstick, you know; just saying). Waah, I'm gonna be an uncle! This is fantastic!

I scroll down my contact list planning to call the others, but then I realize that Hongki hyung must have tell them too already. So instead I call Yeohee noona.

"H-hey, Minhwan, what's up?" I hear Yeohee noona picking up the phone in muffled voice. "Yah, you! Get off me already, I'm talking to someone here!"

"Uh, noona?"

I hear some smacking sound and then somebody cries in pain. "Yah, Yeohee ya~ why are you so violent? Do you want your child to be fatherless?"

Tsk, what is this? They're just announcing the good news less than five minutes ago and now fighting already? I wonder just what kind of family they would be later.

The arguing end with a lour door-banging sound. I guess she's now in her room, locking Hongki hyung outside.

"Ah, sorry Minhwan, it's just that this stupid guy wouldn't get off of me. Now what were you saying?"

I laugh.

"Ah nothing. Actually, I just called you to say, congratulations for having a baby!"

"Uh, I guess, Hongki texted you just know." she hisses "Well, thank you so much Minari! Yeah, it's true that I just

found out that I am pregnant and I would be really happy if only your stupid hyung didn't do such a foolish thing like that."

"What? He made you angry already? Aigoo, he's such a bad daddy. What did he do now?"

"Don't act innocent Minari, I know you're involved in this too!"

"What?" I honestly don't know what she's talking about "It has something to do with me? What did I do wrong?"

"Fine, be like that. You're no different than your stupid hyung."

"What? I'm serious noona, I don't understand. Whatever he was doing I'm sure I'm not involved."

"Really?" she sounds apologetic. "Uh, sorry Minari, I just got too emotional. You know, hormonal thing!"

I cringe. Really, I'm not interested in anyone's hormonal condition right now, especially a female being's. "Um, that's okay noona. So what did he do that make you so angry?" I try to get back to the topic.

"Oh it's just that his text that he sent to you guys." she says hesitantly "It maybe just my suspicions, but it sounds like he's making a bet about who's going to be the first daddy among you five."

I burst out in laughter. But then I try to stop it knowing Yeohee noona was still waiting impatiently on the other end of the line for my response. "Well, you'll find out sooner or later anyway," I say, wiping my laughing tears.

"What? So it's actually true? And you know about this too?"

"Uh, more or less. But I can make sure that I'm not involved in this!" I quickly add before her anger blown up again "It's just a joking bet between him and Jonghun hyung. You know, they're very competitive, even in things like their fertility..."

"Anyway," I say again before the atmosphere turns too awkward "It's just a silly bet between guy and his friends. Don’t take it too serious noona. They don’t mean any harm."

"Really?" she asks, unconvinced. But I think she somehow buys it because she ends up saying, "Well, thank you Minari. I know that they don't mean it, but I'm still angry anyway. Maybe it's just because this hormonal thing. I think I will be okay if I send him away at least for tonight. I need some peace. Hey, why don't you just organize your usual sleepover thingy? I think tonight will be a great time since you guys don't have any schedule for tomorrow, right?"

I blink. She said all that really fast. But wait, she usually full of complaints about our sleepover tradition and yet now she suddenly suggests it?

Wow, hormones really do a lot of wonders.

helloooo! i'm so so so sorry for not updating--how long it's been? months? years? aish, last semester was soo hectic and i couldn't think of anything to write... i'm so sorry T^T
it's okay if you forget about this, heck, this was meant to be a oneshot anyway. now that it turns into a oneshot-collection, i guess i should put more commitment into it. alright! since it's a holiday and i'll have a lot of free time, maybe i'll write more soon.

about the chapter; well, i'm a bit wary about posting it. it's an ooooooold draft that has been stored for a while in my documents and i'm not sure if a story about an idol having a baby will irritate somebody. but i guess, being in the late 20's means they're old enough for enjoying their own live, including family live.
