Prologue

Junmyeon stares into the clear eyes of his wife, sighing inwardly, because he fails to fulfill his promise towards her. For someone who has been there for her since they are little children, he knows Juhyun is strong. A lot stronger than what he expects she is. He taps his fingers on their dining table. His brain is trying to find the best words to start their conversation that night.

“Spill it out Junmyeon, what’s bothering you?” Juhyun's soothing voice breaks the silence between them. Junmyeon can only force a smile, lump in his throat prevents him to utter even a single word. He inhales a lungful of air, and exhales slowly. “You look pale lately.” He states.

Joohyun tilts her head slightly to the right, eyeing her husband. She waves her hand motioning that she’s okay. “I’m quite busy lately.” She says with an assuring smile. “So, tell me. What’s been in your mind? You look so out of place for weeks.” She claims.

He bows his head lower, sighing for an umpteenth time. He fixes his gaze back on his wife, his hand reaches for hers. When he holds her small hand in his, he gives it a light squeeze. “Promise me you won’t get mad at me.”  And she smiles, nodding her head.

“I…I…” He heaves another heavy sigh. “I love someone else.”

A/N: I'm back with a new fanfic, though I haven't decided about whether it should be a short chaptered story or just a one-shot. I'm that confused for now. Anyway, what do you think of the plot?
