It was a day no one could ever expect; I thought this day would have been wonderful. I thought wrong.

We were on our way to the church that’ll be the place where I and my fiancé will get married. I was thrilled and so was she, we’ve been so anticipated on getting settled with each other for so long that it was a dream come true.

I still recall having her hand at mine as my dad volunteered on driving us there and my mom went along and said she’d like to check the venue for the reception. Things were going the way it should’ve been and we had nothing to worry about.

My life being the heir of my dad’s big company, my marriage with the one I chose to be with and my family that was perfect in every way. It was a picture of a wonderful family but it all broke into pieces in a glimpse.

It had only rained before we had left from the mansion, my dad was cautious with his driving and there were only few cars that drove that day, all was fine until a car came screeching for its break as it came out of the curve. My dad did his best to prevent the car from colliding.

He did manage to prevent the car from crashing at ours but, we ended up hitting a nearby building. That very moment, my dad’s smile, my mom’s voice and my fiancé’s loving presence vanished right before me before everything went dark. I lost consciousness but as everything went slowly dark, I heard her whisper to me that, she loves me.

For about a few seconds, few minutes or few hours, I began to hear a beeping sound near me. As my eyes cracked open, I could still hear the whole incident being relived inside my head. The horror that I know will forever haunt me, a dread that will always remind me that everything you have in your life can vanish in a snap.

Donghae woke from his sleep, it was late at night. He got up and tried to breathe steadily for him to calm down. His whole heart trembled and sweat was pouring down his head and body and along with it was tears. “I heard you were crying out in your sleep dear” Hae turned and couldn’t help but to render to the sadness he was feeling.

Rosette his childhood nanny who was that only family he considers was at least there to comfort him at his never ending remorse. For Donghae, it was still a light in the dark to have her but still. The weight of the loss he had would never suffice to anything. He needs to find a strong and steady rock to lean on, a sanctuary wherein he will live from his nightmare he had fallen for so long.
