The Lost Prince

Description

The state of Aoihoshi (Blue sky) was once peaceful, glorious and people in Aoihoshi lives in peace and harmony under the ruling of King Tanaka Akiyoshi. However, Tanaka Minoru, brother of the King Akiyoshi wanted to upsurb the throne and decides to attack the ruler. Minoru massacred all the royal subjects and guards, including King Akiyoshi and his family (comprising of Queen Umi and Tanaka Ainosuke).

Ever since, the state of Aoihoshi fell into the hands of KIng Minoru who only desires for fame and fortune. He was a treacherous dictator who publicly punishes anyone who defies his ruling. The lives of the people in Aoihoshi fell into eternal darkness and unrest, where violence, burglars, corruption and murders are everyday affairs. All hope seems lost for the people.

However, unknown to him was that Akiyoshi's wife Queen Umi upon knowledge of his rebellion, has quickly sent her just-born son, the only heir to the throne away, hoping that her son can one day return to save Aoihoshi from the dictatorship. 20 years later, the 2 former royal guards who are the only ones who knew this secret, assigned their sons, Yuto and Yuya, the honorable and dangerous task of finding the lost prince and help him overthrow King Minoru. The sons chanced upon the Yamada family and with the help of the 3 close-knitted siblings. Never did the siblings expect that they have embarked on a journey plaqued with danger, and will put to test their kinship and unfold a forbidden love.

Characters

 

Lee Hongki as Yamada Yu

The eldest son in the family and the sole breadwinner. Talented vocal in an underground band and earns his living through it. By day, he performs with his band as street performers, by night he performs with his band in nightclubs. Loves his younger siblings and will stop at nothing to protect them from any dangers. He is also very stern with his 2 younger siblings.

Yamada Ryosuke as Yamada Ryosuke

Second son of the family. Has a delicate heart and is very kind. Looks up to his elder brother, Yu, and dotes/play a lot with his younger sister, Riko. Has a sister complex (< this means he is always protective of his sister and is extremely concern of her). Hides his sorrows from the people he loved, including hiding from Yu about working 2 jobs - as a butler in a butler cafe and as a part-time fighter in a underground fighter club. He hopes to lighten the financial load of his brother. Got into alot of trouble because of his work in the fighter club.

 

Riko Narumi as Yamada Riko

Youngest sibling and grows up under the love and care of her 2 brothers Yu and Ryosuke. Loves her 2 brothers a lot. Friends of her are jealous of her having 2 handsome brothers and often pestered her to introduce them to her brothers. Has a brother-complex with Ryosuke and is the only one whom Ryosuke opens his heart to. She is the only one who witnessed the brutal murder of their parents when she is still a toddler and is traumatised by that ever since. Fortunately, with the constant care by her brothers, she overcome her fears and grew up as a bubbly girl, although she still suffers from occasional nightmares.

Takaki Yuya                                           Nakajima Yuto

Sons of 2 former royal guards who were the only ones who knew Queen Umi's secret. When King Minoru executed all royal subjects and guards of Akiyoshi, the 2 guards' families were spared because King Minoru's wife liked their 2 sons, Yuto and Yuya. Unknown to the treacherous ruler is that the 2 royal guards have plans to restore the former glory of Aoihoshi. They entrusted the secret to their sons when they reach the age of 22, and assign them the honourable task of saving Aoihoshi.

Queen Umi

Wife of King Akiyoshi, mother of Tanaka Ainosuke - the only heir to the throne and the only one who could overthrow the dictator. She was said to have been executed by King Minoru, but was actually held captive by him as he desires her. She Painfully sends her son away to protect him from the rebellion and hopes to reunite with him one day. In order to stay alive so that she can see her son, she reluctantly obeys King Minoru.

Prologue

"your highness~" the couple knelt before the Queen.

 
"please accept my request. I do not have much time left... raise this child like yours... change his name and everything else, do all you can to hide his identity"
 
"we'll be honored to bring him up" the husband replied while the wife nodded.
 
"if we survive this rebellion, I'll come back for him."
 
"we will raise him and wait for your return, my royal highness"
 
"one more thing~ don't let anyone know his real identity... your lives could be endangered. protect your family, protect my son."
 
the couple exchanged looks of anxiety and worry.
 
The guard passed a sleeping baby to the Queen. She looked at the baby with tearful eyes. 
 
"Ainosuke... I'm sorry you're born into this world and I've to give you away. you'll understand that all this is necessary to protect your life. I don't want you to suffer in the hands of the enemy. they'll kill you . this family will take good care of you and shower you with the love that I can't provide. live happily my dear son. stay alive."
 
the heartwrenching sight of the Queen and her only son and heir to the throne, Prince Ainosuke, affected the couple emotionally. even the guards, the only other people present in this top secret meeting teared at the parting words spoken by the Queen.
 
the baby didn't cry, his tiny hands grabbed his mother's palms like as though he understood his mother's pain.
 
but the Queen gently removed his hands and placed her lips on his small fingers... tears dropped. finally and unbearably, she passed her son to the lovely couple.
 
"from now on, you will be his parents until I return to claim him back. protect him with your lives and you'll be rewarded and blessed with eternal fortune and good life."
 
she removed a necklace from her neck and passed it to the couple
 
"this necklace will be his only identification. it comes in a pair. keep it well and hidden."
 
"sayonara Ainosuke"
 
the Queen stood up and left with the guards.
 
the couple could see the tears in the corner of the Queen's eyes as she left her son. the couple sincerely wished that the capital can survive this ordeal and the Queen can reunite with her son.
 
the couple stood close together with the baby in their hands.
 
the mother turned to look at a closed bedroom where her legitimate 2 year old son is sound asleep, and looked down at her bulging tummy.
 
the husband wrapped her tightly and said "don't worry... we can safely bring up this child, and he'll live harmoniously with our family, just like our child. all of us will be safe"
...
Tanaka Akiyoshi (the King) is overthrown by Tanaka Minoru, the King's brother. Everyone who is related to the King, including his subjects were executed. The King, Queen and their only son, Tanaka Ainosuke who was recently born, were killed during the uprising.
 
Their bodies were never found.
 
The state of Aoihoshi suffers a period of unrest as the people were upset over the loss of their great king. but the new King introduced laws to oppress the people and those who disobeyed will be publicly executed. 
 
only after the people gave up and unwillingly pledged allegiance to the new King that the state finally restored to normality. it lost its former glory and everywhere is filled with crooks, burglars and murders.

Chapter 43: Uwaaahhh, now, while yuto and yu search for ryosuke and mirai, then mirai will have time to make ryosuke remember her without their interfere right?

Curious what mirai will do now, hope it will be good for both of them and anyway, like you said on the previous chapter, I like this chapter :)

Chapter 42: He should remember all his past and return to his real life!! But I prefer him to return as Yamada Ryosuke than Tanaka Ainosuke. His life I mean. Curious for the next :D Thanks for the update

Chapter 42: I want him to back normal and remember his past. He must fight and not mourning over his past..make him normal again mei-chan, he must remember about mirai again and back to himself. If he can fight and remember his past, then we can have the new and strong ainosuke ^^

Anyway, thanks for update mei-chan..somehow, when I read previous chpater I already expect that ryosuke will be in mental disorder. One person get that much of distress and pressure of course will make a breakdown..
