‘OH CRAP! I’m going to be late!’

Taeyeon jumped out of her bed and ran into the bathroom. She took what was probably her fastest shower yet. Still dripping wet, she came out of the shower clad in just a towel and ran back into her room. She picked out her school uniform and dried herself quickly. She rubbed the towel against her mid-length hair as fast as she could before throwing the towel on her bed.

‘Dad, I’m leaving!’

She said to a sleeping figure when she opened the door of the room next door. She grabbed a carton of milk from the fridge before finally leaving her house. Taeyeon did a brisk walk to the main road. She looked at her watch and frowned. The girl tapped her feet impatiently while waiting for the green man to light up. Once the traffic turned red, she dashed across the road.

‘Oh God. Thank You. Thank You.’

She mentally thanked every divine figure that came across her mind. If the light hadn’t turned red, she would have missed the bus. She quickened her steps to the bus stop while taking glances at the bus. She almost reached the bus stop when the lights changed and the bus started moving towards the bus stop.

She barely had time to catch her breath when the bus came to a stop. The girl looked around and smiled. She made it. She waited till it was her turn to board the bus. Once she got in, she scanned the bus quickly.

‘Found you.’

She muttered silently to herself. Sitting next to the window was a girl in a dark blue uniform. Taeyeon decided to stand at the side so she could see the girl throughout her bus ride to school. She plugged her earphones in, smiling to herself. This was the reason why she woke up an hour earlier every single day. Just to seeing the girl was enough to make her day.
