The Frozen Heart

Description

Winter must be cold, for those with frozen hearts.

Jung Yoonmi knew this to be true. Once upon a time, she had hated winter with every fibre of her being. She found it to be cold, dark, and devoid of life. Yoonmi had once thought that. She knew that! Once, her heart had been frozen like ice, trapped inside of its own pain and confusion. Oh, how cruel she had been! How unsure of everything and how lost in a blizzard of hurt she had been. Yoonmi had pulled away from winter as if it was a plague; something sickly that would spread across her skin with vengeance. She hated it, feeling as if winter was something that had taken everything from her.  Yet, now that Yoonmi was a little bit older and little bit wiser, she knew the truth.  She was the one keeping things away from herself.

Winter must be cold, for those with no warm memories.

Kim Suho looked up at that sky, marvelling at the beauty of it. He stood in the park where he had taken her on a date two years ago. He smiled, remembering how a younger version of him had thought they were fated to be together forever. He shook his head, raising his camera to capture another picture of the snowy playground. They were not together forever, but he would not regret the time he had spent with her. Not for a single instant. There were no bitter memories here, only happy ones. After all, it was all fated wasn’t it?

Foreword

This is my second story on AFF and my first attempt on writing an angst story. Please keep your expectations very very low. If you're looking for something flawless/perfect to read, I suggest you do not subscribe or read this story, otherwise you might find yourself regretting it later. A big thank you to cglcb1, MisoCakes, SimplyHeartless, Sabi-ChanMi03 and ss501exolover for being very helpful co-authors and beta-readers as well as Tyrion Lannister for  the wonderful quotes! The trailer was made by  InLaura. Chapter 36: BUT HOW
HOW
WHY
OH MY GOD
HOW
HOW
I regret my wish for “sometimes i want an 'unsatisfied' ending”. No, i want my ending. Oh God. I expected this. But, i still kokosad. Okay. Anyway, you did good author! The story and the conversations are nice! Some conversations are well spoken/? or written/?. Although if i can be honest, there are some typos and grammatical error (probably, I'm not 100% sure since I'm not that good actually, but my feeling just says that) that sometimes kinda confusing and annoying. But, really, it's actually a good story with beautiful quotes so i kept reading this till i finished. Also, the story played my emotion very well, so it must be considered as good, right? I've decided, Eunmi is the innocent one here. Thank God she acted rational. Yoonmi and Junmyeon are dumb. Idc, for me they're dumb. Junmyeon for what he did and Yoonmi for too selfless enough that it hurted herself. That's all! Thank you, author ♡ i enjoy your work!
