Prologue

A man sat at an open restaurant in a busy airport, his meal three quarters of the way eaten, his luggage having already been boarded on the plane that would leave in less than ten minutes. He was waiting for the opportune moment to make his move. It would be a move that would determine his fate on the long journey he was about to undertake, though he didn’t know as much at the time.

Another man - dressed stylishly in a black suit and tie, white shirt blinding, shoes shining and briefcase hanging on his elegant fingers – was heading to the check in point of his long awaited flight, not sparing a single glance at any other but the man in front of him, the man in his sights, the man he was seeking.

It was just minutes later each man found himself sitting on a plane. It was the same plane that was about to take off, taking each man to yet another foreign land. This land they were leaving for, it was a land that would bring them adventure, a land that will bring them hardship, a land that will bring them pain…but also, a land that will bring them closer in the most unexpected way.

 When strangers meet and are bound by common cause- opposite ends though they may start- they find themselves unable to let go of the thread that binds them, thin though it is. This is the story of a conman and assassin- and their knitted chance- sitting on a plane.
