"I'll be the one who will choose for your partners for this Art project." Mrs Ahn told the whole class. A collective 'ugh' filled the room. Good thing, Mrs Ahn didn't hear it. Either that or she chose to ignore it. She continued naming names though. Sera was paired up with Marsha. Chanyeol with another classmate. Xiumin with Baekhyun. Chen with Sehun, while Mina was paired with one of her classmates. Not with Sehun. Thankfully.

She silently clapped at the back of her mind. She considered herself lucky today. Or maybe not. When Chen raised his hand, Mina flinched and her skin prickled with heat.

"Excuse me, Mrs Ahn but I think Sehun and I shouldn't be together." He said and the teacher raised her eyebrows. "You see, we're both great in Arts so I think we shouldn't be paired together because we'll end up being awesome."

"Shut up." Xiumin snorted.

"You're so full of yourself, Chennie." Sera arched her eyebrows. "Oh, damn. I shouldn't be talking to you." She said as she looked away, rolling her eyes in the process.

Chen smirked. "Too late. You're already talking to me."

"Okay. So who would you want to be your partner?" Mrs Ahn asked him.

He beamed. "I'd like to be paired with Jonghyun—"

"What?" Mina screeched, abruptly turning her head to Chen. "No way. Jonghyun ssi is my partner and you have yours. So quit it."

"Who do you want to be paired with Jonghyun ssi?" Mrs Ahn asked him and Mina hoped he would say her name. She doesn't like to exchange partners. No. Just no.

"Chen." Jonghyun answered and Mina almost fell of her chair. "I like Chen to be my partner. Oh yeah!" He then did a high-five with Chen. "No offense, Mina ssi."

Damn it.

"So Chen and Jonghyun, Mina and Sehun." Mrs Ahn announced as she wrote something on her record book. "That's final. No more exchanges."

And with that, Mina groaned silently as her shoulders dropped.

"Where did you buy that?" Chanyeol asked, pointing at Sehun's wrist. Turns out, he was pointing at the black leather cuff watch he was wearing. "I want something like that. It looks awesome!"

"You look like a rockstar." Baekhyun said, wearing a smug expression on his face. It was breaktime and they were all chilliing out at the rooftop garden with the other students wanted to have some sun.

"Oh this? This is Mina's birthday gift to me." He replied and a collective 'what' filled the air, the same moment four pairs of eyes blinked at him.

"That is her gift to you?" Chen muttered, taking his arm to have a good look of the watch. "Pretty cool!"

"Awesome!"

"Amazing!"

"But it's my first time seeing that." Xiumin said. "Is this the first time you are wearing it?"

"Uh, yeah?" He nodded. "I decided to wear this so she won't think that I've thrown this away."
