Jung Soojung:

She is a countryside girl, who went to Seoul to chase for her dream of becoming a well-known fashion designer. Three years of staying in the city changed her and lead to her fall down just as she was trying to go up the social ladder. Learning from her experiences in the past, she comes back to Seoul and started again. Now a stronger and wiser woman, she was able to establish a name of herself as one of the best and founded the clothing company Glamour alongside with her friends Jiyoung and Suzy. Now a well-known and successful woman, she realized she was living in loneliness. She thought to herself that living alone is enough to pay for all the things that she’s done in the past, but symptoms started to appear, and her life in the smooth road took a sharp turn to a rough one, where she needed someone to hold on to.

Amber Liu:

Being the first person, whom Soojung made friends with and co-worker in the coffee shop, where she’s having a part time job, she’s one the persons who became Soojung’s crutches as she struggled her first few months in Seoul. Her kind-hearted nature made Soojung fall in love with her, but as the younger girl got blinded by her own ambitions, her heart was broken into pieces by the person she loved and cared for so much. Though she hated her, she loved her so much that her heart still found reason to forgive her. She also took some blame on herself, for she wasn’t able to prevent her girlfriend to lose sight of things that are most important to the younger girl. From being just a university student and a coffee shop worker, Jung Soojung didn’t know that there’s much more to Amber, and if only she wasn’t blinded with the material things in life, the older girl will be revealing it to her as soon as she graduate. After five years, she just found Soojung standing in front of her, telling things to her. What surprised her was that the girl who broke her heart in the past is now begging for her to come back to her life.

Dr. Kim Jaejoong:

He is the cold, but smart doctor of Soojung. As time passes by, their relationship will change from a patient-doctor relationship to that of a big brother-sister. As Soojung’s confidante, he will guide the girl to her own happiness as he also will find his… in the door next to his.

Jung Yunho a.k.a. U-Know

He is the leader and member of the duo TVXQ, who lives next door to Dr. Kim. After discovering that his neighbor is a gay, he started teasing him and will sometimes flirt with him only with the purpose of annoying the doctor. But he didn’t know that as he digs a pit for the doctor to fall into, he should also be careful to fall in his own trap.

Victoria Song

She is the manager of the coffee shop, where Amber and Soojung used to work at as part-time waiters/cashier. Being Amber’s cousin, she knows her since she’s a kid and has been the witness of the love between her cousin and her girlfriend, her cousin’s heart break, and her cousin’s dilemma now that Soojung wants her back. If Kim Jaejoong is Soojung’s confidante, Victoria Song is Amber’s.

She hurt me. She broke my heart into pieces. It’s been ten long years since that night that I ended everything that had anything to do with us. I pretended that I never met her, that I never fell for her, and that I never dreamt a future with her. But of course, who am I kidding? I still love her. I already forgave her. Darn, I was even stupid enough to try and look out for her, but it’s enough. She’s now good enough all by herself. I’ve moved on. But how come after all these years, after all the sh*t she’s done to me, I find her sitting there, where we usually sit, as if nothing happened? How can she stand up in front of me and ask me to be with her again?

If only you waited a bit more, if only I held onto you harder before you got blinded by such things, maybe things won’t turn out this way…

Jung Soojung:

It’s a bad karma. All of these are just bad karma. All I ever did is do everything I could to reach my dreams… But it got all complicated when I fell in love. But then again, I was so young back then… so young, innocent and full of dreams. And that dream of mine blinded me, causing me to hurt that one person who truly loved me. It is only when I lost her that I realized that I should’ve dreamt with her. I should’ve included her in my future as she did with her. But I was so stupid. In the end, I got what I wanted, but I wasn’t happy.

And now, it seems like the heavens is turning it’s back on me. Is it already payback time? But it’s too early. I still wanted to do a lot of things. Now that my time is already running out, asking for forgiveness to all those people I’ve hurt is I think the most important thing that I should do right now. And of all the people I’ve hurt, she’s the first person that I should beg for forgiveness, and maybe, though it might sound so selfish, I want her back in my life.

I need her back in my life.

Because dying alone in this world is one of the worst death sentence that Heaven has ever given to man.
