Description of Characters

Chae Jaerin: She is the younger of the twins, and also the nerdier, smarter teacher's pet. She loved acting, but was constantly worried about not being able to perform up to standard. Taeyeon persuaded her to act as her, and train up her skills, since she did not dare to join the drama club. She had a crush on her friend, Lee Jinki for years, but did not have the courage to confess. Since she was the top student, but had a weak health condition, it was not uncommon for her to stay at home for weeks. The teachers were fine with it since she always did her assignments and keep up with the lessons after she returned. Therefore, not being in school for three months would not make the teachers suspicious.

Kim Jonghyun: He mixes around the popular clique as he is one of the kingkas, but he has a secret he never let anyone know about: he has a crush on the nerd, Jaerin. They were in the same classes for Math and English, and something about her just attracted him. When he got to know that she was the sister of his friend, he tried hard to get to know her through his friendship.

Lee Jinki: Jaerin's long time crush. He is smart, considerate, kind, and is also the leader of the school's student council. He was the only one who consistently talked to Jaerin, despite her being a loner, and was also her only friend in school. He always helped her, with or without her knowledge. He did not know of her feelings towards him, as he was often confessed to by other girls, yet he feels that since Jaerin did not do anything, she was not interested in him.

Kim Kibum: Taeyeon's best friend and the only one other than the twins to know about the exchange. He initially feels that Jaerin was very troublesome as she kept causing him problems while under disguise and he had to help fix them. Gradually, he realized he enjoyed her company and they both learnt a lot from each other. Due to Taeyeon's white lie, Jaerin had the misconception that he was not interested in girls.

Chae Taeyeon: The older twin, also the confident one, the queenka, the singer and the fashionista. Even though she hangs out with the popular group, she always kept an eye on her younger sister, and protected her from bullies. No one knew Jaerin was her twin, other than the teachers and Kibum, and no one else had ever suspected them to look identical, since Jaerin was always hidden behind thick glasses, messy hair and tons of books, while she always appeared glamorous. Taeyeon wished to get into the school of her dreams after she graduated, and she was able to get a chance to do so. However, she would need to be away for three months for the preliminary auditions, trainings and final auditions.

Choi Minho: Taeyeon's crush ever since he joined the popular group, and he saved her once when she was about to fall. He knew that she had feelings for him, but he was worried about what his fangirls will do to her, even if she was a queenka, so he kept her at a distance even though he was also interested in her.

Lee Taemin: the childhood friend of both twins, and he transferred over to their school once he returned from Japan. He was not able to tell the twins apart when they were kids, so Jaerin and Kibum tried to hide the truth from him too, since Taeyeon told them that "the less people who know, the better".
