It seems we take our ability to create difference sounds with our muscle movements is a key factor in expressing who we are as people. And that is only a key factor because we are able to hear and comprehend the sounds that are being produced by the person speaking. Some of the most influential and inspiring people do not gain their status by holding up pages and pages of their thoughts and feelings. 'I Have a Dream' by Martin Luther King was one of the most famous of speeches. It was not an essay, but a speech. The way he uses his voice to emphasize certain points and his use of tone influenced the people to listen to what he has to say.

Speech is important to get the message across.

Listening is the ability which allows us to receive these messages.

Unfortunately, not everyone has that ability. We take our gifts for granted whilst others stay in the dark, frustrated and alone whilst the world share their voices with each other without them.

Foreword

Main Characters:

Kim Taeyeon:

What use is there to hearing what others have to say and yet be unable to say anything back? I have to sit hear and listen to every word they say, whether they are good or bad. How do I stand up for myself if I can't even speak for myself? What use am I to this world if my voice is not heard, even by the likes of me? I can not defend anyone, not even myself. All that comes out of my vocal chords is the silent desperate cry for acknowledgement that goes unheard. There is one person who can hear me though. One person who I know could hear my unspoken voice. That person is none other than Jung Sooyeon.

Jung Sooyeon:

Writing on paper. That's all that it is. Words in written form. I know how to use it, how to write it and what it means but I have no idea what it sounds like. Everything is just a sequence of that happen to have a meaning behind it. How do I say it? What does it sound like? I have not a clue. I do not even know what my name sounds like to my own ears. If one day, I could hear someone call my name, it would be nothing but foreign to me. You can tell me anything but I will not listen... I can't. Of course, with everything there are exceptions. I can hear one voice, and one voice alone. I can't even hear my own but I can hear hers loud and clear. That person, is none other than Kim Taeyeon.

Okay this will be a short story. Like around 10 chapters. (similar to FMTY's length).

(Edit: Okay I lied. It' not that short ._.)

I know I have a lot of updates, but this was just so cute that i couldnt resist >///<

If you didn't understand, Taeyeon has trouble talking and Jessica has trouble hearing. It will be interesting how I describe the intereaction without the aid of speech, but so far so good :)
