The first time they come to their room Sehun’s absolutely unprepared for what’s about to happen. He barely registers a pair of foreign, calloused hands fastening his arms and legs to the mattress firmly, mind still foggy with sleep and an excess of medicines the doctor gave him earlier. There’re two older men in their ward, he realizes, two male nurses he saw enter the mental asylum as new caretakers a few days ago.

He knows they keep the night watch on their floor now but with all those people screaming and beating walls until their hands bleed and bones break in their rooms all around the place, it’s more than strange for them to enter the one that’s totally quiet.

‘’Wha…’’ Sehun starts when he realizes that his movements are now restrained, but he’s just shushed quiet, one of the men patting the top of his head almost affectionately after he’s done securing his limbs to the bed. It’s dark and Sehun doesn’t recognize shapes all that well but it’s not hard to distinguish those two figures in particular; one chubby and short, with piggy-like nose and thick-rimmed glasses and the other seemingly taller, muscular. Stern expression plastered on his face wherever he goes.

Luhan sleeps in his bed soundlessly, small and vulnerable and open as the shorter man leans over him and tucks a lose strand of golden hair behind the boy’s ear.

‘’He is so beautiful. Oh dear God, so beautiful. It's almost sad.’’

Sehun’s mind is still somewhat dazed but that one sentence sends a jolt of fear through him. He futilely tugs at his bindings when the man starts tracing Luhan’s hollow cheek with his fat finger but all he can really do it move his neck left or right.

‘’You can barely keep it in your pants,’’ the other man lets out a bark of laughter. There's no reason for them to be quiet, no one will hear anyway. ‘’Did you fall for that little the second you saw him? Because I swear you sweated with excitement during medical checkup a few days ago, you nearly drooled seeing just a little bit of his skin. Oh man, that better be worth it.’’

Left or right, facing one of the dirty, grey walls, or Luhan’s tired, white face as the man standing by his bed starts tugging at his belt.

‘’Wake up, beautiful.’’ The shorter nurse urges, unfastening Luhan’s simple nightshirt and pulling it off of his shoulders a moment later. 

That night was the first of many.
