Ryeowook felt like crying as Sungmin hugged Siwon, pressing into him and swaying gently. Looking at his boyfriend, Wook turned away before the tears could fall, not wanting the boy's to see him cry. Sungmin was always like that, hugging into the other members and kissing them, he flirted with everyone. No one minded, because the boy just just playing.

But this had gone too far.

 

Siwon and Ryeowook had started their relationship less than a week ago, and Sungmin was already hugging the boy and kissing him on the cheek. Siwon hadn't said anything, but Wook could feel the boy slipping away from him. He started to spend less time with Ryeowook, and more time with Sungmin, just cuddling the boy on the sofa. Min wouldn't say anything either, he just continued as normal.

 

As Wook started to walk away from the two on the sofa, he cried silently before pushing open the door to a room.

"Wookie, is everything okay?"

Shaking his head, Ryeowook clung to Zhoumi as the older boy cuddled him, crying into his shoulder.

"What happened?" The boy's voice was gentle, a verbal caress, and it made the younger boy feel safe.

"I think Siwon is cheating on me.."

 

Mi shuffled so that Ryeowook was sitting in his lap, and he gently supported the boy.

"What makes you think that?"

"H-he always talks with Sungmin, and he kisses him and hugs him.. Min's stealing him away from me.."

"I'm sure that's not what's happening.. Have you tried talking to Min about this?"

Wook shook his head tearfully. "I don't want to talk to him. He's stealing Siwon.."

 

The next day, during SJ-M practice, Sungmin came over to Ryeowook and hugged him from behind.

"Wookie, do you want to come for coffee?"

The younger boy just shook his head. "No thank you" he said, and then just stared at the floor. He didn't return the hug, or say anything else.

Feeling upset, Sungmin pulled away from the hug and looked at Wook with concern.

"Is everything alright?"

"Yes."

 

Zhoumi watched the exchange, and he saw the sadness in Sungmin's eyes. He could tell that Min wasn't cheating with Siwon, and that he had no idea why Wook was acting so strangely. Zhoumi felt sorry for both of the boys. Siwon went to the pair, and Sungmin immediately hugged him. Frowning, Ryeowook walked away from the two hugging boys, taking Zhoumi's hand and going to the car.

 

Siwon turned around, looking for his younger boyfriend.

"Min, where's Wook?"

"I don't know, he was just here... He was acting a little strange though, he might have gone back to the dorm to rest.."

Henry went over to the pair. "He went to the car with Zhoumi, I think he was crying."

Panicking, Siwon dialled Wook's number.

 

"Hello? Wookie?"

"No, it's Zhoumi. Wook's driving so he can't answer."

"Is he alright Mi? Henry said that he was crying!"

Not wanting Wook to know who he was talking to, Mi hesitated a little before answering. "Everything's fine. Don't worry."

"I am worried, please pull over so that I can talk to him!"

"I'll call you back."

 

"Wookie, can you speak to Siwon? He wants to know if you're okay."

Pulling over, Wook burst into tears. "No, I don't want to talk to him. All he does is kiss and hug Sungmin! Sometimes he doesn't even sleep next to me anymore, and he spends the night with Sungmin.. If Sungmin wants Siwon so much then he can have him! I hope they're happy together because we certainly aren't.. Sungmin flirts with everyone a little bit, but he's chosen to flirt with Siwon the most." 

His voice went tiny and fragile as he spoke. "Siwon's my first ever boyfriend, and I didn't even stay with him for a week.. This is the first relationship that's ever felt complete, the first one that's ever felt right. Siwon is the perfect man for me, but I guess I'm not perfect for him.." Sniffing gently, he just wept.

 

"Wookie, are you breaking up with Siwon?"

"No" the boy answered. "He's breaking up with me."

Feeling a little buzz in his pocket, Zhoumi looked at his phone and realised that he hadn't ended the call. And the new text message confirmed that the members had heard everything that was said.

 

He cursed internally. Looking at Ryeowook, he put his arm around the shaking boy and properly ended the call. 

"Wookie, Siwon loves you so much. And so does Sungmin. He wanted to go for coffee with you, and he was so sad when you said 'no'. Why do you think he wanted to invite you out for coffee?"

"To annoy me, and subtly rub it in that he's with Siwon.."

"No, he wanted to talk to you and spend time with you, because he cares for you deeply. He wants you to be happy Wook."

 

Looking at his phone as it buzzed again, he saw the text message from Sungmin.

'Mi, I would never do anything to ruin their relationship. Please give Wook a (secret) hug from me, and I'll talk to him when he gets back. Could you please drive back to the practice room? I want to clear some things with him. Min xx'

Clicking on the keyboard, he replied. 'I don't think that's a good idea. He's pretty upset right now, and it would be best to let him sleep on it. We'll see you back at the dorm. Don't worry, I'll try and calm him down. Mi <3'

 

Knowing that Sungmin was upset, he tried desperately to find a way to make both boys happy.

"Wookie, let me drive. You're crying too much to be able to see clearly."

Getting into the driver's seat, he smiled as he drove back to the dorm.

 

Taking Ryeowook inside and making him a cup of tea, he gently sat with him and watched a film. Cuddling him tightly, he rubbed his back and pressed kisses to his hair.

Wook was resting against Mi, wrapped in a blanket, as there was a knock on the door. Sungmin came in, and sat next to Ryeowook, watching the unhappiness on the younger boy's face. Wanting to cry, he saw Zhoumi stand up.

"I'm just going to the toilet Wookie." He winked at Sungmin as he did so, and motioned for the boy to start talking to Wook.

 

Ryeowook didn't say anything to Sungmin, and the older boy almost gave up and left, but he had to sort this out. He couldn't let the couple break up. Clearing his throat, he spoke in a soft voice.

"It's a little cold in here. Do you mind if I share the blanket?"

The boy nodded, and held out half of the fabric, but didn't say anything. He just kept looking at the film.

 

Sungmin took his part of the blanket, and sat close to Ryeowook so that they could share it properly. Taking a deep breath, he put his arm around the boy.

 

Wook stiffened, and tried to move away a little. But Sungmin held tightly, and began to speak in a soft voice.

"Ryeowook, I know why you were acting strangely. And I know why you didn't want to go for coffee. The call didn't end properly, and we heard everything you were saying. Please talk to me Wook, I want to explain.."

The boy cried, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. Sungmin reached over to brush away the tears, and felt Wook struggle away. 

"Just go away Min.. There's nothing to talk about." Standing up, he went to his room.

 

Sungmin sat on the sofa, but knew that he had to talk to the boy, he had to let him know that he loved him. He had to let him know that he wasn't trying to steal Siwon.

 

Knocking on the door, he opened it to see Wook lying under the blankets, tears falling down his face. Sitting at the side, Min looked him in the eye.

"Wookie, please let me explain. I'm not trying to steal Siwon. I'm not trying to ruin your life. I'm so sorry that you felt this way, that you believed that I was trying to steal him away and hurt you. I love you Ryeowook, and I love your relationship with Siwon. He's a good guy, and we weren't cheating. I promise. I'm just going through some stuff right now, and he's helping me. I'm sorry that he hugs with me, and spends some nights with me. I know it sounds terrible, but I promise it's not. We weren't having , I would never ever do that to you. We just talked. Please understand Wookie."

The boy just rolled over so that he was facing away from Sungmin. "I'm not ready to talk to you Min. Please just go."

The older boy cried in desperation, and slid under the blankets with Wook. Burying his face in Wook's back, he cuddled him gently.

"I'm so sorry Wookie. Please.."

 

Lying in the bed, he felt Wook's small frame shake with sobs, and he and kissed every bit of skin he could, happy that the boy was no longer resisting him. When Wook turned around and hugged him back, he cradled him tightly.

"Do you really promise Min?"

"I promise 100%. We just talk, nothing more. He helps me, and I sometimes kiss him on the cheek, but we would never go any further."

Ryeowook pulled away from the hug, and lay on the pillow, just looking at Sungmin. His tears were stopping, but he was beginning to hiccup from the sobs.

"S-Sungmin. You need to promise that you're telling the truth. Bec-because I can't go on like this..."

 

"Wookie, I swear on my life that we aren't in a relationship. We haven't done anything at all. When we are together at night, we just talk, nothing else. No passionate kissing, no touching." He Wook's arm, and looked him in the eye tearfully. "I'm so sorry for hurting you Wookie, and for causing you to doubt your relationship."

"It's okay. I'm sorry for being rude to you without making sure that you were actually cheating.."

 

Cuddled together, they lay softly, until they felt strong arms wrap around them, and a body pressed into Ryeowook.

"I'm glad that you two could talk it through" Siwon whispered, his voice hoarse from crying.

"Were you listening at the door?" Wook asked.

"Yes, I wanted to make sure that you two made up. There shouldn't be any bad feelings. Min and I are just friends." Siwon leaned over to hug Sungmin, and felt the boy resisting him.

 

Sungmin panicked when he felt Siwon's arms wrap around him, not wanting to make Ryeowook upset with him again. He tried to push the boy's arms away, but stopped when he felt Wook's hand touch his shoulder.

"It's okay. Now that I know you're not cheating, you can hug as much as you want."

Cuddling together as a three, they lay in bed together, slightly squished, but warm and comforted.

 

Tired from crying, Ryeowook was the first to fall asleep, his back pressed against Siwon's chest, and his arms around Sungmin. His breathing was soft and slow, and both boys looked at his fragile frame.

"You're so lucky to have Wook, Siwon. He loves you so much."

"Don't worry Min, soon you'll be able to come out to us and show your feelings for Kangin. Then you'll be in a loving relationship too."

"Siwon, I can't.."

 

The boy reached out, and put his hand on Sungmin's shoulder. "Yes you can. Just take your time and tell us when you're ready. There's no rush. And I'm sure that Kangin will accept your feelings."

 

Lying on the bed together, Siwon hugged tightly to Ryeowook, and his hair. He was glad that the younger boy had listened to them, had believed that they weren't cheating. He was glad that he had listened to the accidental phonecall that let them know why he was upset. He was glad that they had been able to talk it through and sort it out, and that their relationships had only grown stronger.

 

Sungmin could only hope that one day he would be brave enough to talk to the members about his uality, and not have to hide it away. He hoped that the members would be kind, they would listen and accept him. And that was all he wanted.
