This is a story of two brothers, Luhan and Kai who are polar opposites. Where Luhan is a kind-hearted man who is respectful to his parents, Kai is a lost soul living in US where he is studying music. Since their childhood, Luhan has always been more responsible than Kai even though he is his father illegitimate child. Thus, he has the full trust of their parents.

Unbeknownst to his family, Kai’s father has been suffering for years and it has taken a toll on him. The doctor telling him that he does not have long to live and to prepare for his going. The family calls their sons back home. Luhan who was studying in Korea University willingly went home but  Kai was a bit reluctant to leave US and his girlfriend, Yoona.

Luhan: What is wrong with you? Father might be dying right now and we should at least visit him before he let go of his last breath.

Kai: I always want to visit him from the very first start, but the one I hate to meet is you. Father will never stop comparing us apart. Even now.. I bet he will give all his property and asset to you. And what do I get is only a small house.

Luhan: Do you have to act like this until the end? I have told you before that I’m not interested in father’s wealth. You can become the solely heir. But just promise me one thing.

Kai: What is it?

Luhan: Please come back home this week. Father really miss you. This could be your last chance to meet him.

One week later, the two brothers return home to their dying father. Kai is grumpy and frequently lashes out at his family, blaming them for his being stuck in Korea. That night, father calls Luhan to his room.

Father: Do you know what I want to see the most before I close my eyes?

Luhan: You want to see your children happy right?

Father: Yes.. I want to see my children happy with the woman they loved. If I could live longer, I wish to see to see at least one of my sons married.

Luhan: I bet you meant it to me as Kai is still too young to get married.

Father; Do you have anyone in your mind, Luhan?

Luhan: I do. Her name is Seohyun. She is my college partner. She is really kind, pure and innocent. She tends to put other people first before her. 

Luhan suddenly remembers his first meeting with his first love.

It is a rainy day and Luhan is caught with no umbrella. He run as fast as he can to not getting drench but it is no use. By the time he reaches the bus stop, his clothes are already wet. Suddenly, a girl beside Luhan hands him a handkerchief. He take it without hesitate and their fingers slightly touch. He thanks her while wiping his wet face. Soon, the bus arrive and they board it together. Luhan tries to make a conversation with her and finds out that they are attending the same high school. That is how they becomes best friends.

The next day, Luhan’s father meets Seohyun’s parent in private. He asks them for permission to let his son marry their daughter. Seohyun’s parent agrees to it, knowing that Luhan’s father is a successful businessman in the country.

Sooner, Seohyun is shocked to find out about this arranged marriage from her parents. She then meets Luhan and asks him for explanation.

Luhan: I’m sorry. I would never guess that my father would seek your family.

Seohyun: I don’t get it. We are not even dating and right now our parents are forcing us to get married.

Luhan: It is my fault. My father asked me if there is someone I want to marry. Without missing a beat, I replied your name because I don’t know any girl else beside you.

White lies escapes from his mouth. But the truth is Luhan indeed has interested in Seohyun from the very first start. He doesn’t even has the chance to confess to Seohyun yet and now he has to make her his wife.

On the engagement day, Luhan dress up in suit for the event. Someone knocks the door and it turns out to be his stepmother.

Mother: Congratulation Luhan. I know that you will be happy with the girl you loved. Although you might think that this is too early, but it has always been your father’s dream to see his child get married.

Luhan: Mother, thank you for taking care of me since I was young. I know how hard it had been for you to accept your husband’s illegitimate child. But you have never treated me like an outsider.

Mother: It is a lie if I say I never hate you before. I hate you for coming into our family. I also hate the fact that your are my husband’s first child. But the more I hate you, the more you I grow affection for you because of your kindness in accepting all the hate.

Luhan embraces mother in a tight hug until they do not realize that Kai is peeking through the door.

Kai: First father.. and now you even want to snatch my mother away from me. (Kai speaks to himself)

At the engagement hall, Kai and Luhan walk to the table. After everyone has taken their sit, father makes an announcement.

Father: The reason we are having a meeting with Seohyun’s family is because I want to court one of my sons to Seohyun.

As Luhan is ready to stand up to introduce himself, his father makes a shocking confession.

Father: I want to court my son, Kai to Seohyun.
