"Graduate-to-be, Lee Donghae, commited suicide in his own bathtub. He was found dead by his friend, Im Yoona, who was also going to graduate this year."

Yoona read the article, in tears. Donghae was gone, just like Taeyeon. He was such a silly kid, why did he even took his own life? He said that he loved her, did he even meant it? The doctors said that it was way too late. He had lost too much blood and his cuts were too deep. They also found his ankles were cut too. Yoona could never forget his body. The way it lied on the stretcher, dead and cold. His hair had some blood in it. 

"Lee was a smart kid, but he had serious cases of bully in his high school and had decided to take his own life thursday evening."

Mr and Mrs Lee had no idea about the probelms their son had in school. They were not told of anything and Donghae always had a smile on his beautiful face when he got home from school. Donghae always told his father that he loved school and it was because of one girl. That girl with that beautiful pair of eyes, Im Yoona. And in the end, the heir of the Lee family was gone. Mr and Mrs Lee had lost both of their children that year.

"After interviewing Miss Im, she said that she tried to help Lee. But no one stopped the bullying."

Her class was given a long lecture, and so did the school. Teachers cried, so did Tiffany and Jessica. Taecyeon was remorseful because he was going to apologise to Donghae on Friday. He wasn't able to get his forgiveness. Yoona forgave him on the behalf of her lover. The school decide to build an area for flowers and fruits to grow. And that was where a picture of Donghae was placed at. A reminder to all students that they should never let another student take their own lives. Yoona went to that garden everyday and she could feel his presence. She would sing songs and take care of the flowers there.

Yoona was invited to the Lee's for dinner one day. She heard of the news, Donghae was not going to have a funeral. She was shocked, he was the only son of the Lee family and he doesn't get a proper funeral to sent him off? 

"We went to see his body again last night. Then.. They said that his body was taken away by a scientist and his team. They said that he gave us a sum of money then he just.. Took my son away. I can't lose him.. again," Mrs Lee burst into tears. Yoona held her tears back. It happened too fast. Donghae was gone and gone again.

"You are Lee Donghae," the scientist said to the lifeless body. He checked on the machinery and waited for the reports to be printed. It has been half a year. The doctor wasn't sure if it was going to work. 

"His heartbeat is normal and possibility of waking up would be 80%."

"Well, that's an improvement. Plus, it should be time this kid should wake up."

"Doctor," the assistant stood beside the doctor, "will it ever work?"

The doctor smiled to himself, "Well, Hyoyeon ah, you have to believe in our project. And believe in this boy, I am sure that it will work." The blonde nodded and pushed her hair behind her ear. The doctor walked to his table and Hyoyeon sat beside the bed where the body lied. She watched as the doctor spoke, "Watch this kid for me, will you? I have a meeting with the head," the doctor left. Hyoyeon watched. She felt sad that he was their lab rat. He should be resting in peace, in a coffin and at a funeral six months ago. He was taken away, to their lab and he didn't look so human. He was a robotic kid. He had some wires in his cheekbone and a metal plate replaced his cheek. On both his shoulders, there were metal plates too. His right eye was a metallic ball. Well, the doctor's previous assistant injected something into his eye and it got damaged. 

That was why Hyoyeon took the name of 'assistant'. She continued to watch him. He had stitches on his ankles, they built his wounds back with stem cells, his two wrists too. It was all Hyoyeon's idea. 

Hyoyeon saw his fingers move. She quickly touched them, they were warmer that yesterday. They were cold yesterday.

Was it a spark of hope?

Hyoyeon prayed that his eyes would open. The machineries shutted down and the lights went out. Hyoyeon gasped. The project collapsed. She didn't want to believe it. She bit her lips. She tried to find the torchlight and get to the electrical box at the door. Before she pressed on any switches, the power came back on. She shut it back and she found that someone has woke up.

He stared at his pants, which was the only thing he had on. He plucked the wires off his head and chest. He sat up and looked around. Hyoyeon took a step closer and it got his attention. 

"Who are you?" He questioned. Before she spoke, "Hyoyeon. Miss Hyoyeon. Hyoyeon, right?" She was quite amazed at this kid. "How did you know that?"

"I.. Am... Lee Donghae, am I?"

He must have been listening when he was sleeping. Hyoyeon smiled. She took a grey tee and put it on for him. She smiled at him, "I will go get the doctor." Donghae watched the blonde walk out. He just sat there. 

"Doctor, Project R is completed."
