28. Who's My Daddy?

-

A few weeks passed by and the Kwon's had finally settled in, in their new home. Dara felt overwhelmed, in a good way, after she realized how much had changed during the past 8 months. From a small family that she had, to a growing family she didn't know she'd have. From the love she receives from the older Kwon to the unconditional love Jiyong had been showering her with. And even if her parents are missing, she somehow still felt complete.

Of course, the coming little Kwon will surely fill the spot that her parents had left her.

"Are you okay?" Jiyong wrapped his arms around Dara's belly.

"Yea," Dara can't help but happily look around their new home. After the interior designer, courtesy of Bom and her clique, they were able to finish their home before little pommie arrives. Everything in their new home felt like a real home, something she and Jiyong wanted. "I...I just can't believe we're here. I mean this home is perfect Jiyong, and god I just can't say how truly blessed I am to have you and your parents and now our little angel."

"I am too, Dara...I am too," he planted a soft peck on her temple. "Come on, everyone is ready in the veranda."

Dara carefully turned and reached for Jiyong's extended hand. "I feel so bloated," Dara joked. "I mean I didn't know I'd be this big."

"No matter how big you are," Jiyong smiled. "You are still beautiful, amazing... not one word can describe how beautiful you are babe."

"Oh stop," Dara blushed. "I don't know why, but I feel like any time soon, he'll pop out of nowhere!"

"Are you really okay?" he lets go of Dara's hand and held Dara's tummy. "Is he okay? I don't see any water leaking down there."

"Oh stop panicking," Dara laughed. "I'm fine Jiyong, I don't know what to say...or to describe the feeling. I mean with this ginormous belly, it seems like more than a whole watermelon is inside me!"

"Unless its twins?" Jiyong looked at her confused.

"No, you saw the ultrasound, silly," Dara chuckled. "Come on Kwon, we have guests to attend to."

"Why did we invite them again?" he frowned.

"Here you are again! Don't be a party pooper," she shook her head. "You're parents were kind enough to fix something for us, after all its sort of our housewarming party."

"I guess," he sighed. "Hopefully they leave right away. You can eat and run kind of thing."

"Hey!" Dara exclaimed. "Be nice, and you'll get rewarded for being at your best."

"Now we're talking Park!" Jiyong laughed. "Come on, the more we spend time with them, the sooner they can leave."

"Oh god," she laughed again hearing how silly Jiyong had become.

-

"I am so proud of you son," Mrs. Kwon happily uttered. "This house is beautiful and indeed a nice neighborhood to live in."

"You're happy since they're only a few blocks away from us," Mr. Kwon said earning a faint slap on the arm from his wife. "Women," he turned towards Top and tease the guy.

"Oh don't look at me Uncle," Top chuckled. "I have no intention of getting there just yet."

"Like someone would be serious about you," Bom muttered earning a few giggles from the ladies.

"For your information," he looked at her determined. "I am one of the most wanted bachelor in this country!"

"Oh god, someone hand me an oxygen tank," Bom teased. "I am running out of oxygen."

"See, it's all about my charisma babe," Top winked at her. "If I know you are probably fantasizing about me."

"Over my beautiful, y body," Bom scoffed. "Please, someone hand the guy a fork so he can shove it up his ."

"Unnie!" Dara uttered stunned.

"What's an auntie?" Sarang looked at Bom curiously.

Bom looked at Sarang nervously while the little girl's mother is glaring at her.

"It's the animal, donkey!" Bom laughed feeling alarmed.

"So I can say you're a donkey?" Sarang was still confused.

"Dear," Sarang's mother gently caressed the little girl's cheek. "Just forget the word. Auntie Bom will surely get punish."

"Oh!" Sarang's eyes widen, if it was possible to get any bigger. "Was that a bad word?"

"Yes, baby," Dara nodded and then turned her gaze back to her unnie. "She needs to put some money in the swear jar."

"Oh! Oh!" she clapped her hands excitedly. "Money please!" she extended her little arm towards her auntie asking for money.

"Can I get back at you on that?" she asked. "Auntie has no money right now."

"Excuses," Top murmured. "You just got paid by the Kwon."

"Shush! No one was asking for your opinion or comment," Bom glared at the guy right across from her.

"Anyway," Mrs. Kwon interrupted the heated topic. "Jiyong, Dara have you guys planned out the wedding?"

Dara and Jiyong looked at each other, unsure what to tell their folks.

"Omma, we haven't really gotten to that topic yet," Jiyong answered for Dara. "I mean we just want to pour our attention to the baby after all we'll be handful once he arrives."

"You guys can get a wedding planner," she insisted.

"What Jiyong is trying to say," Dara spoke this time. "We want to spend the first year with the baby first. I'm sure while talking care of our baby, I can also add in the planning. But like what Jiyong said, we want to focus on getting used to having the little one, after all he'll need more attention than the wedding at the moment."

"She's right," Sarang's mother agreed. "I've worked in the pediatric for quite some time, Mrs. Kwon and the pediatrician would suggest to the parents to take some time off with the baby. Especially since this is their first born, they'll need to pour more time, adjusting and all that. It'll be a new resposibility for both of them and since they don't have very much experience being a parent it'll be a perfect time to learn."

"They do have a point honey," Mr. Kwon nodded. "Let's not rush the kids to get married. The time for their wedding will come. Let's just help them out with the child."

"I guess it won't hurt," Mrs. Kwon ended up agreeing. "We just want what's best for the two of you or soon to be three."

"We'll get there omma," Jiyong smiled. "You're getting ahead..."

"I'm just eager to have a new Kwon in the family," she lovingly looked at Dara.

"It'll be two new Kwons soon omma don't worry," Jiyong teased.

"Is anyone ready for dessert?" Dara stood up.

She paused feeling a sudden sharp pain in her tummy.

"Are you okay?" Jiyong's hand flew right into Dara's arm helping her stand.

"Yea, I think I just stood up too quickly," she whispered. When she felt a faint contraction, she couldn't help but take deep breaths. "Oh boy..."

"What's wrong?" Jiyong's face turned into panic. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Dara looked down and felt water streaming down her legs. As Jiyong saw her look down, he couldn't help but also look where she was looking.

"!" Jiyong exclaimed. "Her water... it just broke!"

"Jiyong!" Dara's hand flew right in his arm squeezing it tightly.

"Oooookay babe, circulation, I need circulation in my arm," he whined in pain.

"I don't give a about your circulation," Dara uttered through her gritted teeth. "I'm having a baby here!"

"Right!" he suddenly stood up unsure what to do.

"God Jiyong, don't space out now!" Dara tried not to yell, but the contraction was getting stronger.

"I..." he mumbled.

"Unnie, please get the baby stuff in his room," Dara tried to instruct everyone. "Top can you manage to pull the car in the front, I don't think your best friend is here with us right now."

"Yea I'm on it!" Top got up and ran while Bom headed for the room.

"Jiyong!" Mrs. Kwon was right beside him.

"Be a man and get it together," when he didn't say anything, his mother suddenly slapped him in the face.

"Ouch!" Jiyong held his pained cheek. "What was that for?"

"That was your wake up call," his mother warned. "Now carry Dara towards the car."

"Oh right! Baby, We're having the baby!" he suddenly felt the surge of adrenaline.

"Now Jiyong!" Dara yelled, to the point his eardrums could have shattered into pieces.

"We'll meet you guys in the hospital," Mrs. Kwon looked at Dara happily. "Good luck dear."

"Thank you," she gave the woman a faint smile.

"I swear Jiyong, if you don't move at this moment," she muttered through her now labored breathing. "I will make sure I'll end your generation before you know it!"

"Okay that's my cue!" Jiyong carefully lifted the girl and carried her out the door.

.

Once they arrived at the hospital, chaos took place. Jiyong yelled endlessly causing ruckus in the hospital.

"Please help us!" he yelled as he entered the emergency room. "My fiancé is having our baby! Please help us!"

"Oh god Jiyong," Dara for a moment wanted the ground to open up so she can jump in there and disappear.

"Don't worry baby," Jiyong continued to run around the place causing everyone in the room to be shock. "I'll get us help, hang on babe."

Dara can't help but bury her face in Jiyong's neck hoping no one would remember her.

"What can we help you with?" a male nurse looked at Jiyong deadpan.

"Can't you tell?" Jiyong answered.

"Oh no," Dara whispered. "Please Jiyong just answer his question."

"I'm so
