To anyone willing to listen,

I choose to not see the things that are going on around me. I choose to be oblivious of the violence and hatred that is exchanged between us and them. I was never asked if I wanted to be a part of this world. I was destined to this life before I was even born. The love of my mother was my only source of happiness and even she has been ripped away from my side. Who is to blame? The man who said he loved me more than anything in this universe, my father. How dare he say he loved me when he was still willing to put my life on the line for his careless acts. Now where is he? He is suppose to protect me but instead he's rotting in his grave while I live in this misery. Will I ever be able to experience a normal life? A life with real happiness and true love? If I can't have that then can I at least have guaranteed safety? That isn't too much to ask.
