But people are so primitive, like freaking cavemen, that they assume that I am foolish or something because I don't get stressed out, but I do. Only I neglect myself for others. So everyone neglects me in turn. Everyone. I reach this point where I feel I am not meant to have feelings or deserve to get my way, and it’s alright. But it’s not.

Because if I didn't care about others so much then I wouldn't neglect myself to keep everyone else happy. So I do have feelings and I want to be taken care of, but it appears as though that will never happen because I always put others before myself.

I end up trying to ignore my own feelings, assuming I am not meant to be sad or angry or pissed, because all my friends are already doing that. So I end up being happy. Because that’s all I can be. Thus, people are drawn to me for my seemingly sympathetic nature and consistent cheerfulness. But people have no idea who I really am. And some days - though I am happy 96% of the time - when I am not happy, I want to just fling myself off a cliff.

It’s incredibly tiring and frustrating. So when feeling depressed, I lock myself away in my room for three days and cry so hard that I fall asleep. Then I wake up the next day and people are still treating me like I have no feelings and the never ending cycle of thoughtlessness continues. And while this makes me disgusted with them, I am ing okay with it...."   Mell-
