A Very Long Way From Home [HIATUS]
Description
Kim Jonghyun is a college student that has lived his whole life in South Korea. He knows next to nothing about anything other than Korean lifestyle and he is very comfortable in his apartment in Seoul, close to his family, very comfortable at college with his many friends, and very happy with his life with his long-time girlfriend.
His comfortable lifestyle and great relationship suddenly are disrupted when his girlfriend begins to avoid him and soon after, runs away to America. Upset and still very much in love, Jonghyun gives up everything he knows to travel to a country he knows very little about to find her. With no English language skills and no idea where he's supposed to start, Jonghyun has to find a guide that can help him.
The guide and the foreign environment changes Jonghyun's thoughts about living, adventure, and love.
One of my stories was deleted. After being angry for a while I realize that this is my chance to write this other story that I had in my mind at the time I created Please Let It Be With Me. It might be similar to other stories or movies you have seen or whatever, but I promise that what I'm writing is original, it will have a lot of twists, and it might give you some insight about America (where I'm from^^) This is a pairing I have not written about yet and I hope you enjoy it~
Foreword
I don't speak English.
I don't know where she went.
I don't know how I'm going to find her.
I don't know why she left.
I don't know anyone who can help me.
I don't know what else to do.
A very lost Jonghyun spotted a young-looking Korean man coming through a door and going behind the lovely, polished front desk.
As a woman approached the desk to ask for a replacement key, Jonghyun saw the man give the woman a megawatt smile.
The young man then began to speak in what Jonghyun knew was English, but Jonghyun had no idea what he was saying.
After the woman left the front desk, Jonghyun approached it. The man was turned around talking to another employee in English.
"Excuse me." Jonghyun said in formal Korean.
The young man turned around and gave another megawatt smile, even more brilliant now that Jonghyun was closer up.
"May I help you?" The man, who looked younger close up, asked politely back in Korean, not knowing if Jonghyun was older or younger than him.
"I was wondering if you could help me with something..." Jonghyun said nervously.
