Jiyong's trapped in a bad relationship, and because he loves her, he doesn't know how to get out of it.

Youngbae knew he had feelings for Jiyong from the start, and seeing Jiyong go through the emotional trauma was torture for him. All he could think about was how different things would be if Jiyong fell for him instead. Because he cared, he never let his feelings be known, and just simply was there as a shoulder to cry on. That is, until things turned around completely.
