I glanced at the clock hanging on the wall.
11.57 PM
He’s coming. He’s coming. He’s coming. I kept chanting in my head, convincing myself that he would fulfill his promise. I checked on my phone. No new message or missed call. I put my phone in my pocket again and sighed.
“.” I hissed. I had been waiting for what felt like ages but he hadn’t shown up yet. This is why I hate him for being a celebrity. He has no time for me, his best friend.
I was about to stand up and leave the coffee shop when suddenly I felt the vibration from my pocket. My phone! I quickly pulled it out but my face fell as I saw who was calling.

I rejected the call since I didn’t feel like talking to someone else.

I heaved a sigh out and got up from my seat. As I was about to twist the doorknob, I took a last glance at the clock.
