Kim Taeyeon and Kwon Jiyong?! Together?!

Four girls were walking together in their school campus on a Monday morning. The weather was unbelievably scorching hot and the four girls badly needed a shady place where they could hang out -which was, as of this moment, nowhere near in sight. While walking of what seemed like a death march, the four girls passed a group of friends talking quite loud, enough that they could unintentionally eavesdrop. 

 

 

The gossiping group were talking about a certain girl seen together with a certain Kwon Jiyong. By then, it was the talk of the whole campus.

 

"Kwon Jiyong, who's that? Is he some kind of celebrity?" tiffany couldn't help but ask the three other girls. She was new to this school and a bit new to this country as well. The last time she remembers visiting South Korea was when she was 6 years old. Exactly 13 years ago and obviously, she missed out a lot.

 

 

The three girls can't help but give her a I-can't-believe-you-don'y-know-him-look. "Yah, Tiffany-ah! How long have you been in this school?" Sooyoung questioned making the new girl flinch in surprise; surprised by the other girl's high pitched shriek.

 

 

"Tw- two months.. I- I guess.." She stuttered.

 

 

"Ah.. that explains why..."

 

 

"Why what?" Tiffany couldn't help but ask again.

 

 

"Why you don't know the people here," Sunny said as she combed her out of placed locks on her blonde bob with her fingers. "more specifically Kwon Jiyong" she continued.

 

 

Tiffany was confused once again. "Who is this Kwon Jiyong dude and why is he the talk of the town? Is some sort of a famous celebrity?"  She thought. Not being able to keep the impending curiosity to herself, she asked again, "is this Kwon Jiyong guy... famous?"

 

 

"Yes, his famous and... he's mouthwateringly hot too!! And sexy! And mysterious! And charming! And-- mmmpfhh" Hyoyeon's string of compliments were cut off when Sooyoung purposely covered Hyoyeon's mouth with her left palm. Hyoyeon tried to fight back but, it only lead to them wrestling under the heat of the sun, in the middle of the campus. The two other girls tried their best to stifle their laughter because there's nothing funnier than seeing both their friends acting stupid together.

 

 

"You'll get used to this.. HAHAHA!" said sunny as she patted tiffany on the back with her left hand and pointing at the two fighting with the right. "OH MY GOD! THEIR WRESTLING ON THE GROUND HAHAHAHAHAH!!" Both laughed hysterically. Sunny was even gripping her stomach already, for the pain of laughing to much is getting to her.

 

 

"Should we -HAHAHAHA- stop -HAHAHA- them? PFFT, HAHAHAHAHA!" Said Tiffany as she struggled to talk in between laughs. Sunny nodded in response and pulled the two girls away from each other.

 

 

"Are you guys okay now?" Asked Tiffany as both her and Sunny wiped the tears (which was caused by laughing hysterically) that brimmed in their eyes.

 

 

"Yeah.. we're okay.." Sooyoung said plainly as both of her and Hyoyeon nodded.

 

 

"O-kaayy.. then"

 

 

And just like that, the four girl's continued their journey in finding a shady place. The topic about Kwon Jiyong and "the other girl" was also forgotten. The heat was getting unbearable and it was already giving them headaches but fortunately, they were able to find a large gazebo under a tree. It was filled by a small amount of people, maybe group of friends hanging out. Since that gazebo was for everybody to use and the four girls strongly believed in human rights, they decided to hang out there.

 

 

"Better than nothing.." they thought.

 

 

{BEEP!} {BEEP!}

Hyoyeon felt a certain vibration against her leg. Her phone signaled that it has a new message so, she fished it out her pockets and flipped it open expecting an important text or something like that. It was a text from Taeyeon (who for one, only texts if it's something important) but, as soon as she opened the text, her face scrunched up. It was a blank text.

 

 

Sunny, who was sitting beside hyo was able to notice her expression. "Hey, what's wrong?" she asked.

 

 

"Taeyeonie sent me a blank text," Hyo said as she waved her phone in front of Sunny. "it's very unlikely of her to send a blank text knowing that she hates wasting text messages."

 

 

"Huh, that is weird.." Sunny replied, her head tilting in momentary confusion. "Maybe she just sent it by accident" Sunny shrugged and continued what she was doing earlier: filing her nails.

 

 

"Guys, have you heard news about Taeyeon lately? i haven't seen her very often as I've been seeing her the last time.." Hyoyeon asked the two other girls who where on her other side.

 

 

Sooyoung thought for a while, "When was the last time I saw Taeyeon?" she thought. "Come to think of it, I havent seen her after that so called trip that she's going to.." she said.

 

 

"Same here...."

 

 

"That's weird." Hyo muttered.

 

 

"HEY GUYS! I FINALLY KNOW HER NAME!! I FINALLY KNOW HER NAME!" A guy with sharp features and dark brown hair came running to the gazebo towards the other group of people. The 4 girls were curious as to what this guy was talking about but, only kept it to themselves knowing too well that it's none of their business.

 

 

The group of friends became rowdy and pried the guy with thousands of questions. They were like lions fighting for a small goat to be their feast. It was a sight! The four girls who where watching were stupefied, horrified and every word that ends with -fied. Okay, maybe not every word but you get the point.

 

 

"What's this about?" Tiffany asked as he gestured over the group of animals people in front of them.

 

 

"I think it's about the whole Kwon Jiyong seen with a girl issue.." said Sooyoung, eyes not leaving her phone as she continued to text.

 

 

"You know, I don't really get it. What's the big deal if Kwon Jiyong is seen with a girl? Shouldn't the people get used to it since he's famous in this school?"Tiffany who was on the farthest side, shifted her position and faced the three girls, wanting an explanation to this big mystery to her. "Isn't he supposed to be a rich playboy or something?"

 

 

The three girls couldn't help but shake their heads disbelieving. This turned Tiffany -the new girl- more confused. "What? Why?" she asked curiously.

 

 

Sunny sighed deeply. "Tiffany-ah, Kwon Jiyong isn't a playboy. He's rich, very rich actually, but he's definitely not a playboy." she corrected Tiffany's far-off conclusion. Before Tiffany could ask more questions, Sooyoung cut her off.

 

 

"Jiyong-ssi is nowhere near being a playboy. He rarely even talks to girls nor is seen with one... He's the mysterious cassanova.  That's his charm. People like him because they don't know him. They want to know more about him. That, and because...--"

 

 

"--because he's rich?" This time Tiffany was the one to cut off.

 

 

"Exactly." Hyoyeon remarked.

 

 

"Doesn't he really hang out with girls? I mean, does he have a girlfriend then?" Tiffany asked wanting to know more.

 

 

"He did, actually. It was a long time ago. Maybe 1-2 years ago.. right Sunny?" Hyoyeon asked Sunny for confirmation. Sunny nodded in reply. "Her name was Yu- something. Sorry, I forgot." Tiffany nodded. "There were actually rumors spreading around that they were engaged or something. Some said that Jiyong-ssi proposed in a very extravagant way thus, making the girl say yes. It was the talk of the town that time." Hyoyeon continued.

 

 

"How long have they been dating that time?" Tiffany asked.

 

 

"I don't know. All I know and most all people know is that they've been dating for a heck of a long time." said Sooyoung.

 

 

"Continuing with the story.... the rumors then, suddenly stopped. I think it was a month or so after the rumors started to spread initially. And on one very faithful day, Kwon Jiyong stopped going to school and so did his girlfriend. No one knew why. At first, people thought that they got married already but, some said something tragic happened to his girlfriend. But up till now, no one still knows why."

 

 

"How long did he stop going to school?" Tiffany asked.

 

 

"About 6 months or was it 8?"

 

 

"I think it was 8" said Sooyoung.

 

 

"Wow. So he came back after his long hiatus? How did everyone react?"

 

 

"Yah Tiffany! You're asking too many questions.." Sooyoung half joked, half scolded.

 

 

"I'm just curious, okay? No harm in that." Tiffany was on defensive mode which made the other girls chuckle.

 

 

"It's okay. You'll know more when you'll stay here longer." Hyoyeon assured her as she patted her head like a loving mother to her child.

 

 

"Soooo.. this is really the first time after that incident where he's seen with a girl?" Tiffany couldn't help but ask again.

 

 

With an exasperated sigh, Sunny replied "Yes, this is the first time but, except for the times he's been seen with Jessica-ssi"

 

 

"Who's that?" Tiffany's brow furrowed in confusion as she tilted her head to the side.

 

 

"Some chick he's supposed to be childhood friends with. She's no biggie. Just another slut." said Sunny in a serious expression.

 

 

"Huh?!" 

 

 

"HAHA, I'm kidding Tiff. She's not a slut." Sunny reassured.

 

 

"Oh.."

 

 

The other group who was with them in the gazebo kept on acting like wild animals. They wouldn't stop talking about that "other girl" who was seen with Kwon Jiyong. The four girls would've been out of there moments ago if it wasn't for the burning hot sun and their campus' lack of shady and silent places.

 

 

"Aish, chinja! Who's this girl they keep on talking about?" Sooyoung couldn't help but be curious. So, she approached the group of people and asked for the answer to her or more accurately, their questions.

 

 

"Soo, are you sure about this? Are you really going there?!" Sunny gestured over the pack of animals before them. Sooyoung nodded with a determined self. "Okay, be safe. Just call us when you need us..."

 

 

Hyoyeon grabbed Sooyoung's wrist, "Please, don't need us." she said emphasizing each and every word. Sooyoung looked at the three of them who where all nodding their heads in agreement, "Such friends I should be grateful for.. *sarcasm" she thought then, strode over to the jungles of Africa group.

 

 

"Uhm, excuse me, may I ask who this girl you're talking about is?" she tapped a guy on the shoulder and in her most kindest tone, ask the question.

 

 

The unsuspecting guy was stunned for, for the first time, a gorgeous girl asked him a question. Though this wasn't the kind of question he expected or wanted to hear, he was happy and ecstatic none the less. And he was more glad to answer the question. "Uh.. s-someone.. named.. k-K-eem..T-tah-yoon?" he couldn't help but stutter in front of this girl. But Sooyoung couldn't make out the words he was saying.

 

 

"Huh? Kim what?" she asked, leaning in a little closer.

 

 

"Uh.. was it Kim Tahyunie or something.." The guy scratched his head and turned to the guy reading on his side. "Jisoo hyung, what's the girl's name again?" he asked. The guy who the guy asked earlier A.K.A. Jisoo Hyung answered without looking up from his book.

 

 

"Kim Taeyeon."

 

 

"Kim Taeyeon."

 

 

"Kim Taeyeon"

 

 

The guy's deep sexy voice echoed in Sooyoung's head. Her head was spinning in daze. It's so unreal to her and it's so unexpected too. "Okay, it's Kim taeyeon, no biggie. Who is she even? Pfft. i don't know her. No, i don't. HEHEHE. No, No, I don't. It can't be." She thought over and over again.

 

 

"Miss, are you okay?" The guy asked her when he noticed the gorgeous girl in front of him was getting hazy and pale too.

 

 

"KIM TAEYEON???!!" she shrieked loudly in her highest pitch. The birds on the trees flew away, animals ran too, people were silenced and Hyoyeon fainted.

 

 

It was a sight!
