pastel is a graphic diary and portfolio started at July 20, 2013. a thread where i'll post my growth and journey as a graphic designer in aff. This won't only be for myself but for fellow graphic designers who needed help in starting this hobby.

kristine, or also known as superstar-k in aff and tumblr, is a '94 liner, living in the philippines. Has been designing over 2 years using photoshop cs5.
 
❝FAQ
 
why is the name pastel?
- because of my love for pastel colors and i can't think any good names for this thread. so i'll stick with a simple name. easy to remember, right?
 
what happened to recipe for creativity?
- it closed last march 2013, and as much as i wanted to keep it, i don't know where to continue anymore, so i opened a fresh new thread to breathe in a new concept, new designs and new me. maybe in the future i would love to have the same concept, the recipe and restaurant, for my shop, hopefully no one will plagiarize it.
 
why did you open this thread?
- to join the trend. lol. every graphic designer has their own portfolio so i'm jealous and made me own. lol. this is put up not to brag but to inspire.
 
what are the features of this thread?
- basically just like a diary/blog. from time to time i'll post up some random things that can help you with graphics and mostly, i'll post my own work. and maybe some other features i might think in the future or same features ROC provides. wherever my mind goes. lol
 
will you post tutorials, freebies and resources?
- of course! you just wait and see. keke.

So Hi Eonni! I was looking for an inspiration when I came across your portfolio. Your work is purely gorgeous. Sometimes I just sit there with my photoshop open, not even knowing where to start. So I have some questions for you. How do you usually start when making a new project? Did you just mess around with stuff until you came up with something you liked?
