I was so excited! I sighed, the first day at SM High, with all of my friends! High school was a whole different situation from middle school!
I was looking forward to seeing Yesung, but I knew he didn't think so. Even though Yesung and I had started going out last year, I always saw him hanging with his 'friend' Jiyeon. Jiyeon was really sweet, but I think she thought I was just Yesung's friend. It was obvious that Yesung didn't love me anymore, but I hung on. I didn't want to be heartbroken.
I needed to look perfect for this day! My friends always said I was the cheery sunshine of the group, but they said I could also be naive and vulnerable. Well, at least I was sunshine-y! Yay!
I got up early to curl my hair slightly, so it was in perfect waves. (Yes, I was a perfectionist) I picked out the perfect outfit of denim shorts with a lovely blue fringe and a simple white tank top. I wore a leather jacket on top, and wore black Converse. I was ready.
I was never a fan of make-up... My mother had always taught me that I should wear a smile, not makeup. And that I should wear flowers, not diamonds. My mother had passed away a few years ago, but I kept all of her lessons at heart. All of my friends wore make-up, but I never did. I didn't need it. Smiling girls were the prettiest girls.
I felt my phone beep, and I saw a text from Yesung.
Meet me behind the main gym right now.
I grabbed my bag and headed there. I skipped with joy to Yesung... Only to see that he was with that Jiyeon girl from Core Contents High School.
"W-what is she doing here Yesung?" I asked with a weak smile. He gave me a smirk and sighed with exasperation.
Then he spilled.
"Well... Surprise?" he finished.
