Finding my way back to you

“YOU! What are you doing with my son?!” The witch’s voice echo into NahRi’s ear that were about to burst. NahRi stood there not knowing what to do. 

“I took him home. He wasn’t feel well. I’m glad you found what you’ve been waiting for. Wether he regains back his memories, I won’t stand in his way. Just like you wanted I’ll move far as possible. You don’t have to worry about a single thing.” She blurted out.  

“GET OUT! Right now! Get lost!” The witch snarled as she fiercely had her hand up in the air. 

“Before you want to do anything to me, think twice. He wouldn’t be so happy if he’d found out that you have gone to him, will he?” Those were her last words before she had left the room.  

While NahRi left the apartment, Ara has hiding behind in the tall planted tree nearby ChangMin’s room, and over hear their conversations. 

Ara walked into the living with two cups of blackberry honey tea, and placed it on the coffee table. Mrs. Shim came over to her side, and held her hands.

“What if he really finds out...about NahRi and his memories. What will we do? What then. I am really scared.” She cried crying. 

“Look here. Nothing will change. That woman is just scaring the both of us. She cannot defeat us ----” 

“No. I love him, I cannot let anything happen.” Mrs. Shim hovered Ara’s body and held her in her arms like an abandoned lost little girl. 

“With me here, nothing will get on your way.”

A few days had passed, ChangMin wasn’t at work very much. On a following sunday, NahRi had went into his office, and stood in front of his desk. 

He handed her a white envelope, and got up. NahRi opened it, and saw his and Ara’s wedding invitation. Being torn in half was what she felt when she saw the invitation card. 

“You’re coming right...?” He asked softly. “Are you alright?” He tilted his head to the side, reaching his hand out to her face.

NahRi chuckled and quickly wiped her tears before he can touch her face.  

No, I am not alright. She said to herself. 

“Of course, I will. Congratulations...I hope you both nothing but the best. I’m happy for you. I shall be leaving.” She bowed and turned away but he grabbed onto her arm and stopped her from walking away.

“I forgot. I owe you this.” He walked over to his desk, and hand NahRi a package of something. “I have not forgotten about you. Please do come.” 

NahRi accepted the package, and smiled and left out the door. Slamming the door behind her, she squat down on the toilet and started to burst into tears. Scrunching the wedding invitation she threw it on the floor. 

She hurried back into his office when she remembered there was a box hidden behind his desk. His office was empty, She waited until it everyone had left the building. Picking up the box, she placed on the desk and opened it. 

There were their stuff when they first started to dating. Pictures, clothes, cards and etc. NahRi picked up a picture of frame of her and ChangMin smiling at the camera as he had his arms around her waist. 

They looked like they were the happiest couple...Just thinking back to those times, she cried with sadness and happiness. For the most important thing, she had to throw the box away before he can get his hands on it. 

While putting away that was scattered on his desk, she slowly placed it back in. Not being fast enough, the door was unlocking. Her heart jumped as she quickly tried to place everything inside. 

Hiding behind his huge black desk, she pushed the box where she had found it. Ducking her head inside the open space, she covered her mouth. It was only a security, after a second he had left he locked the door. 

NahRi hurried up, and unlocked the door. Reaching outside of the building she hopped into a cab. ChangMin stood there as he watched her get into the cab. 

“Ara I forgot something at the office. I’ll be home in twenty minutes.” He had left a voice mail before he walked to his department floor. Reaching to his office, his door was cracked opened. 

“That’s strange. I had completely closed it before I had left.” He opened it and turned on the lights. There was no one. It was empty like before. He felt something strange but didn’t really thought about it. 

He had grabbed his laptop from the side of his desk, then took a step back and tilt his back to the side, and saw the box that was given to him by SeungHyun. The box wasn’t fully closed. 

Bringing it up to his desk, he had unexpectedly found varieties of things pictures, postcards, and etc...He had picked up the same frame that NahRi had from earlier. He couldn’t believe his eyes. 

“How can this be...?” He was shocked and went speechless as he glanced at the person who may happen to be the same person as his employee, NahRi-shi. Within a second, he dropped the frame causing it to break. 

Everything was coming back at him...his memories and NahRi. 

Quickly as possible, he stopped by the hospital and barged into his doctor’s office. 

“What’s happening to me?! Why am I remembering everything?!” He snarled as he grabbed the doctor’s collar and slammed him against the wall.

The doctor under him was struggling to breathe, ChangMin’s face became red...he wanted to know the truth. 

“Don’t make me madder than I am at this moment! Tell me everything!!” 

“Okay. Okay I’ll tell you everything! But first let go of me.” The doctor said coughing. ChangMin finally let go. 

ChangMin hopped into his car, and drove with high speed. 

Your mother and your false fiancee had brainwashed you. I don’t know why the reason was but if I didn’t want do what they had wanted, I’d lose my job. I’m truly sorry...if you really want to know the real reason behind all this, your mother is the right person.   

Unable to control his tears, he stopped by the sidewalk and started to burst into tears. His hands firmly holding his steering-wheel, he squeezed it even harder creating his knuckles to turn white. 

All the memories he had with NahRi was just now coming to him...all along he was someone who didn’t know he had a past. Ashamed and betrayal was something far from what he had felt from that moment. 

From this point, nothing will be able to stop him. Instead of heading to Ara’s house, he stopped by NahRi house then left home to be alone...

As tomorrow came, ChangMin was already dressed and was ready to head to the chapel. Peeking at the crowd NahRi was not found anywhere. He purposely waited until the wedding was going to start, then to make things his way. 

Ara was at the entrance of the aisle, “Where is ChangMin? It has been more than a minute!” She asked anxiously. Mrs. Shim was on her way to the chapel, and received a call from Ara. 

“ChangMin, ChangMin...he ----” Her voice was beginning to crack.

“He what?! You’re scaring me! What is it?” Mrs. Shim said trying to calm down. 

“ChangMin has remembered. He has regained back his memories, Mrs. Shim. I don’t think I can do this anymore. I’m sorry...”
